Among the Most Desired "Wood Dash" SWB 911's
This One Checks all of the Boxes!
Of all the many 911 variants produced, the earliest short-wheelbase cars are particularly coveted for their uncanny performance and thrilling dynamics. This car, chassis no. 300569 was completed on March 4, 1965, and delivered new to Dr. Jack Rosenberg, of Willingboro, New Jersey. Finished in Ruby Red over Black Leatherette upholstery with Pepita cloth inserts, options included a left-hand outside mirror, Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, a loudspeaker, antenna, and Dunlop tires.
The 911 was a long-term resident of New Jersey, according to a sale listing published in the April 1979 Porsche Panorama, with the vehicle described as having been repainted in red, the engine rebuilt with new Solex carburetors, and being excellent throughout. During the 2000s, the 911 was part of the noted Porsche 911 collection of racer Charles "Chuck" Goldsborough III in Baltimore, and in 2012 was acquired by a private collector in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He later commissioned a concours-level restoration to original condition by the Porsche marque specialists at Einmalig in Huntington Beach, California. This restoration was a complete disassembly, invoices are included - completed from 2013-2015.
Today the car presents exceptionally well and correct to factory standards, and comes complete with original Porsche dealer brochures in a vinyl sleeve, original jack and toolkit, an owner's manual, date-coded wheels and rear luggage straps, a Porsche Classic detail kit in leather bag with pepita/houndstooth. All numbers-are matching per accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a copy of the Kardex production record provided by Jurgen Barth. With the recent surge of appreciation for 1964/5/6 "Wood Dash" 911s, here is an honest and authentic example, ideally suited for both the concours field and continual driven enjoyment. Now available at a great price for worldwide inspection, purchase and delivery.
