Like all 356's this one has a long story.I have owned this coupe since 1976 and finally completed a lengthy full restoration in 2013. Since then the car has been used less than 1,000 miles locally. The 356 was a bare metal restoration stripped down to shell, although the car had minimal rust areas that were in need of replacement were replaced, mainly in front door body areas. Have actual pictures of car in bare metal. WERKE Classic Coach in MA. completed the body restoration. The car has all original body parts with the exception of the front hood.The floor was replaced before I acquired the car and is in excellent rust free condition as well as longitudinal and jack points. Included in sale are complete records with every new part that was replaced. The engine was entirely rebuilt to SC specs with new MAHLE pistons and cylinders from Zims, part number 616.103.904.04. The 356 has been converted to 12 volts and the front brakes have been upgraded to disc brakes making it much more responsive braking. Clutch is new, suspension and front end rebuilt with Koni shocks all around. All chrome has been re-chromed by New England Chrome and plating.All wiring and mechanics sorted by Automobile Associates, Canton Ct. Complete Leather interior from Autos International which still has fresh smell. German square weave carpet. Nardi steering wheel is included with sale. New Optima battery just installed. Brand new fuel tank replaced as well. There is too much to detail in this ad, however all records show all parts and work that was completed on this beautiful coupe. All of the work on this car has been completed to near perfection, using OEM or parts from Stoddard, Zims and reputable companies specializing in 356 restoration.The car runs perfect and is fun to drive. Thought I would keep this one forever but reluctantly letting it go. Currently tach oil temp is being synched with new sender so it is out of car at moment.
