Description for Porsche Other 1956

Excellent condition 1956 Spyder Replica. This car was built in 2003. It has-Porsche A series drums-new pistons and calipers-New Techno magnesium wheels, If you don't want these I will reduce the price by $3000- fresh (3000 miles)1967 912 engine, Short Skirt pistons, MSD ignition.-Transmision was regeared to match a 356 porsche. I know other cars talk about a tall 1 and 2 or 4th etc. but they never seem right. When I first got the car, it had tall gears and then I changed to a hybrid but it still wasn't right. When I had the motor done, I also paid a Buggy racing shop to redo it and the difference is very noticeable. I also have a 356 and it feels the same.-custom aluminum interior work with a 1967 Les Leston aluminum wheel-custom headrest faring-mid height Plexi glass windshield. Perfect wind flow just over your head. No back flow.-Correct twin bosch horns behind customs aluminum grill. These are Mercedes because the Porsche were only 6 volt but other than that the same horn.-Custom aluminum mirror housing and stainless Porsche review mirror.-comes with extra set of original steel wheels and a set of old Michelin XZX tiresIf you've looked at other Spyders, you will notice the front wheel wells are not finished well. I've had the fronts flared about 1 inch and the outline changed to correct this. If you put a stock car side by side it is easy to notice the difference. -Rear coilers are double adjustable. On a swing axel car it is very important to keep the inside rear wheel from coming up to fast. With these, you can adjust the shock rate up and down independently. This is the only car I have seen with these and without them, you just have to set the car super stiff.I am 6'2" and have done several small details to get more space. Cut down seat, custom recess in double wall aluminum firewall, etc. There are some small scratches in the paint so it isn't perfect, but on a race car they honestly don't seem out of place. The color is a mercedes silver from the period. It has a hint of brown and the red is very dark, really adding to a vintage look. Some 550s are bright or blue silver and just look fake to me. The numbers and spears are outlined in a mustard yellow-not gold-again making the car look old. Every time I have showed it next to other 550s it was the favorite with the exception of one car that had $40K in aluminum modifications. It was very nice.People ask me how much better it would be to get a new one? Let me just say these are built one at a time by small factories. A lot of mistakes are made. I have spent hundreds of hours and $ on mechanics correcting big and little details to make this car safe and reliable. You will never get that with a new one.Note. The mileage is 24,000 not 24.If you would like more details you may call 8056375559 west coast hours please
