Description for Porsche 911 1974
You're viewing my rare 1974 Euro Porsche 911S non-sunroof. factory AC coupe. still wearing what I believe to be mostly its original factory paint (some minor overspray around the lower windshield rubber and at the rear in the section between the latch and the reflective panel when the trunk is up. other than that. the door jambs. outer panels. etc all look to still be original paint). This car has never been restored. Production date 12/73. This is a perfect car for California buyers as it's the last year that doesn't need to be smogged. and WAY more affordable that the long hood '73 and older cars! The car is quite solid other than the typical front pan needing replacement. The floors. longitudinals. torsion bar areas. rear seat pans and pedal cluster are all very solid with no rust. The car is a Non-US VIN# 9114101911 (cool VIN by the way!). still sporting several Euro gauges (Speedo and Tach swapped out to US. tach is aftermarket. mileage reads 32. 04. not sure if it's rolled over or not but most likely has). Euro rear bumperettes. and Euro rear engine bay stickers. The Euro 3. 0 liter engine (case 930/03 designates it as ROW/Euro and therefore higher horsepower than the US version) is complete. but needs to be rebuilt. It was running prior to being taken out of the car a few years ago (the engine is just bolted back in place for shipping purposes). I was also in the process of converting over to Weber carbs (not included). Everything is included for the original CIS setup (in boxes. as well as other miscellaneous parts not shown in pics). I am also including a new and very expensive stainless B&B headers and dual-out exhaust system (I do not have the original heat exchangers or exhaust). I have the original gas tank (was taken out to start pan repair and is just set in its original spot). as well as the original mini-spare tire (rim dated 10/73). I also have the original AC compressor and its plumbing/radiator. The interior of the car is in good shape. The dash has minimal warpage and only one small crack by one of the defroster vents. Headliner is black and in good shape. The leather front seats are from a later 911. I have a set of era-correct (square bolsters) Porsche factory Sport Seats that can be purchased separately for $1000 after the auction by the winning bidder if desired. They are good seats. but need recovering (leather is dried up and in bad shape). Rears are original and in nice shape overall. The carpet is in decent shape. Rear tray is good. Door panels are good. The original Fuch rims are nice with no damage. but could use a buffing/refinish to be perfect. The car appears to have never been hit or in an accident. Both doors close with a solid thunk and have the classic "Porsche Ping". All gaps are good. The car supposedly had 2 other owners (from the same family) prior to my ownership. All brightwork trim is present and in good shape. The rear side windows are the correct pop-out type. There is some typical blistering by the lower rear window corners (paint popped off. but it's not thru the metal) as well as by the front windshield corners (again. mostly bubbling and not through). There are a few tiny spots in the lower door skins. but nothing too serious. The inside jambs are solid. This is an overall relatively easy project to get back on the road once the motor is rebuilt. The car has been off the road since 1997. Everything mechanical will need gone through to be safe. The car rolls and steers freely (obviously the car does not run or drive). 2 tool kits are included. No books or jack. Some records. The front and rear valances. as well as all other parts taken off are packed inside the car in boxes. Ask any and all questions prior to bidding. All sales are final. I am a private collector. not a dealer. I am liquidating several cars from my collections as I recently purchased a Panamera S. Clean and clear title is in my possession. Please only bid if you are serious and have the funds readily available. A $500 Paypal deposit is expected "immediately" following the auction. and the remaining balance to be bank wired within 3 business days. The car will be stored safely until shipping can be arranged. but it MUST be paid for within my terms. I will happily sell to oversees bidders. The Port of Charleston is less than 3 hours from my home. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! Last bid wins this rare and valuable piece of history! No reserve! Bid high and bid often! Car is listed in other areas and auction may end at any time. Feel free to contact through Ebay to make an offer to end early. On Jan-11-15 at 18:40:57 PST. seller added the following information:I have been told by several people that the VIN is a non-US vin. I have also been told that it IS a US VIN by someone else. ??? The engine definitely IS a Euro engine. I guess do your own research and bid accordingly. Either way. it's a rare and valuable car that is pretty straight forward for restoration and is very solid other than the front pan repair and a few minor issues as noted above. Everything that came off the engine is with the car other than the original exhaust. Thanks and happy bidding!
