“The large print giveth and the small print taketh away”- Tom Waits:
Please remember, this is a used car, which, as nice as it may be, is not perfect. I strive to deliver accurate descriptions, but it is possible to miss small deficiencies and will not be held liable for these minor misnomers. This vehicle is sold AS IS/WHERE IS and comes with no warranties, expressed or implied, whatsoever.
Known issues:
· This car is not restored and reflects 44+ years of enthusiast use
· Exterior repaint from 1980’s shows technology and quality of that era
· Some dust and orange peel is visible in areas painted in 1980’s
· Both front fenders and read lid latch panel have been replaced. Repairs are good quality, but these parts are not original to the car.
· Stone chips in paint on front hood, around headlights, and around wheel arches, especially back of LF wheel arch
· Various chips and marks in paint around the car including peck in right door and right torsion tube cover area. See photos
· LF upper strut mount has been repaired and rework is visible inside trunk, when carpet is lifted
· NO rust-through concerns
· Kunstharzlack tag shows color code 329-9-2 (Dalmatian Blue/Seeblau). Some experts claim 4848 Oxford Blue is the same color. Tag has been on the car as long as current owner/seller has had it. A mystery…
· Certificate of Authenticity shows “Rear Luggage Compartment In Place of Rear Seats”, but there is no evidence to support this in the car or from other data sources.
· Windshield weatherstrip cracking at top corners. All other weatherstrips and seals are very good.
· Interior trim is unrestored, except for headliner, and shows some light wear
· Rear parcel shelf cut on both sides, from installation of shoulder belt harness
· LF carpets worn. Others are good
· Tool kit is incomplete
· Owner’s Manuals incomplete
· RF and RR wheels shown on the car has some peck marks in finish. LF and LR OK. See photos
· CN36 tires are AT LEAST 34 years old and should not be driven on
· Original 6" and 7" wheels are unrestored
· Front brake backing plates have been cut down. Rears are included as loose parts.
· Headlights work on high beam, only, regardless of dimmer switch position. A combination switch may be required to repair this.
· All parts included are as-is, with no warranties
Not included:
· NO ADDITIONAL PARTS OR RECORDS ORIGINAL TO THIS CAR ARE AVAILABLE THAT ARE NOT IN PHOTOS, SORRY
