Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very decent 911 Coupe. This car is a believed California car from new and still retains it's pair of original blue/yellow license plates. It has been stored and off the road since 1990 and is now ready for a mechanical/cosmetic restoration.
The body on this car appears very good overall with nice fitting panels and an excellent and solid main undercarriage. There is some needed typical rust repair up front around the torsion bar attachment points/battery area in front of the fuel tank (pictures). The underside of the front bumper has been misshaped, possibly from a towing incident, and would need removing to repair correctly.The car's brightwork and glass look pretty good. The interior appears all there and reasonable, but there are cracks in the dashboard and side armbars. It could use a retrim if one was to perform a complete restoration.
The car's engine is currently stuck and there is no history on it's condition. It would be safe to assume that the engine is due for a rebuild at this time. The car's engine number is pictured. The driveshafts are missing as well as the spare tire.
Overall, a very good 911 coupe for restoration. Structurally sound and just about complete, a nice entry level classic Porsche.
