Description for Porsche 911 1985

BECAUSE LIFE IS TO SHORT TO DRIVE A BORING CAR!!! THE CLASSIC CAR GALLERY 3266 Post Rd Southport, Ct 06890 203-446-3477 1985 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA TARGA "Driver quality" car, Polished Roll hoop, mechanically excellent, enthusiast owned well maintained!!!" Vin WP0EB0911FS160204 The story of the Porsche 911 is one of evolution and refinement. Starting in 1965 and continuing until the present day, each generation of 911 has built on the successes of the generation before. 2005 was the first year of the "997" body style. A breath of fresh air over the previous "996" generation which had been panned due to its slightly staid looks and engine reliability issues. The new "997" was hailed universally as a better car than the previous generation both Mechanically and Cosmetically. The "Launch Edition" was the flagship of the C2 line that year. The Car on offer is an excellent, "driver quality" 1985 Porsche 911 TARGA. This car has been enthusiast owned and maintained and remains in excellent "driver quality" condition. The car has been driven 94,040 miles. The car is mechanically excellent and has received the following over the last four years. New Clutch Rebuilt transmission New front brakes including rotors and Calipers New plug wires cap and rotor Rebuilt front suspension Restored targa top New door rubbers and seals New tires New speed and crank position sensors The 3.2 liter engine has great power and torque, and runs as well as any 911 we have seen. The Prussian Blau paint is good, with good luster and few nicks or blemishes. The left front fender was repainted and has some dimpling in the paint and there is some checking on the paint around the car. The roll hoop was stripped of its original black paint and polished. it gives the car a wonderful retro look reminiscent of the look of the early 70's 911 targas. The tan leather interior is in nice condition as well; there is wear on the drivers seat bolster. All of the systems in the car work as they should. The dash is in excellent condition. The rebuilt 5-Speed Manual transmission shifts well, and the clutch operates as designed. The air conditioning has been converted to R134, was recently serviced, and blows cold. The underside of the car shows well, the front suspension rebuild is obvious. The tires are almost new, and the wheels are excellent. All rubber and trim is fresh and pliable. Bid with confidence as this lovely driver needs nothing except an enthusiastic new owner!!!
