For sale, this black on black super clean Porsche 924S (one of only ~5400 distributed in the US) is stock from front to back
and in near-show condition - In fact, the prior owner did show it at the pca Westbury gardens concourse de elegance.
The low mileage shown is verified and proven at 73,844 miles.
These durable Porsche motors are barely broken in at this mileage!! It also has original paint - never been repainted in any way.
The 5 speed manual shifts perfectly and this car drives like new. And its a great car for long distance cruising, with a top speed that approaches 140 mph. This is a real drivers car with brakes to match its speed.
The original factory interior may as well be new. The only flaw is a few small cracks in the
dash pad. Other than that it is near perfect. The seats are the OEM leatherette Porsche script bucket seats with roller back adjuster.
The suspension is upgraded to the optional MO30 adjustable coil over springs, struts, rear torsion bar and roll bars. With this option and a near perfect 50 / 50 weight balance these 5 speed rear transaxle cars have legendary handling, like on rails. Great for a fast Sunday drive, track days or autocross. This car has never been tracked.
The car fax is clean and its never been in any type of an accident.
This classic porsche has been passed around over the past 15 years amongst a group of owners and friends that we know back
to the original doctor owner. The timing belt, water pump and complete clutch have been changed aprox 2000 miles ago. Because of being used seldomly, the tires are out of date on this car and I would recommend replacing.
The power steering has been serviced and the car has no leaks of any kind. It has factory a/c and power windows. The sun-roof needs the nylon locking gear set and will have to be attended to.
The stock hi performance 2.5 liter engine runs perfectly, and this motor is also shared with the Porsche 944, 968 model line including the 951 turbo cars.
I refer to this car as a later version of the Datsun 260z and 280z, which is similar to the 240z that I owned and loved, without all of the rust and carburetor issues.
This car has been a truly fun car to own, I thought I would pass it onto my son, but we are getting another home and
some extra cash wouldn't hurt right about now.
