1976 is the last year of the 914 and highly regarded as the best 914 to collect for many reasons! Lowest production in numbers buil, best in quality construction and added rust protection from factory. This 914 came with most possible options from Porsche such as Fuch wheels, gauge package,appearance group,fog lights,center arm rest, leather steering wheel, stabilizer bars, and of course the best option of all the rare 2.0 Engine. This 914 is both a great car to driv, look at and also makes a great investment!
Exterior: Paint has great gloss and shows no rust at all. Both doors and trunks open and close as they should. The glass including windshield have no chips or scratches. Headlights go up and down fast and all signals and lights work great. All 4 wheels(fuchs) are original and have no curb rash.
Body: This 914 when new was treated with Ziebart Rust proofing which was a dealer add on- I believe that is why the bodyof this 914 has held up so good. The typical places that normaly rust are real solid including the "hell hole" (under battery tray). I took left rocker cover off to show how nice it is.
Interior: The inside is all original and in beautiful condition. The seats have no rips or burn holes. The dash is original and has no splits or cracks. Door panels are also in great shape. The optional leather steering wheel is best i have ever seen. All gauges work as they should including the horn,wipers and interior light. The radio is a upgraded Blaupunkt and included is the original Blaupunkt am/fm. Heater works great on all speeds, center console gauges also work.
Mechanicals: 2.0 Engine with its Original injection is the way to go! This 914 starts right up and idles smooth. It goes into all gears with ease and clutch grabs perfectly. This 914 brakes nice and even at high speeds. There are no vibrations and steers straight. The batter is relatively new and even after sitting long periods it will start right up. heat exchangers work great and no smell of oil at all! It has had a recent oil change and complete tune-up
Included with this 914 is the original spare wheel/tire that has never been used, original owners manual,original keys,original am/fm blaupunkt radio, and car cover.I am a passionate Porsche owner and take pride in my car collection. This is a very special 914 since it has maintained its originality and has been very well taken care of. This would be a great Porsche to add to your collection for sure.
