Description for Porsche 911 1990

Hello. and thanks for looking. You are bidding on my 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 that just went through an extensive paint and interior restoration. I have over $25. 00 in receipts for this car over the last year. I originally was restoring her for myself and installed a handful of RUF parts I’ve acquired over the years in the process. Unfortunately. my job is taking me to Atlanta and I can only take one 911 and the C4 will be passed on to someone to enjoy. I unfortunately have never driven the car post restoration. Bob Farmer drove the car 20 miles for tuning and aligning. so this car is ready to finally be enjoyed. A little history on the car: The car was originally Linen Grey Metallic from the factory and optioned well with full power seats and leather interior. The second owner could not stomach the color and had a high quality black paint job done. Well. the third owner told me the car was originally a Grand Prix white car. so I bought it because I wanted a white 911 and saw the potential. Well. the authenticity report came back from Porsche North America and verified the car to be a Linen Grey Metallic. With a car already stripped down to bare metal. I thought for a week and decided with year-correct Grand Prix White. So. in the process. the car was completely taken down to bare metal; Hood. deck lid. fenders. doors. all glass. and lights were removed. Everything was done correct. I did not cut corners on the paint job. Every rubber seal that came off the car was replaced. The glass seals are all new. as are all the fender seals. The RS inlets and clear lens kit were installed at the same time. The turbo tail was redone and the rubber is in near perfect shape. The glass is in excellent shape all the way around the car and the rear lenses are great for the age. The emblems are genuine RUF as is the front RUF bumper lip and RUF wind splits. I think they complete the car nicely. If anyone does not like the turbo tail. I have a non-painted duck tail shell that I would gladly sell as well. or trade. The 17-inch RUF wheels were completely restored during the paint job and are painted Grand Prix white as well to match the body. The tires are brand new Bridgestone S-04 performance tires. The receipts totaled $16. 00 for the paint and body on the car and wheels by Vintage Hot Rods in Galveston. Indiana. They did a phenomenal job and best paint job I have ever had on any of my 911s in the past. That price does not include the other $9000 in parts and services that are explained below. Vintage Hot Rods is available with any questions about the paint job. The restoration did not stop with just paint and body. While the 911 was disassembled. new Bilstein HD struts and shocks were mounted on all four corners and Eibach springs installed as well. The other suspension components are in great shape and did not need repair. Bob Farmer professionally aligned the car yesterday and set the suspension height. Bob Farmer also performed a valve job and replaced all the seals and plugs and filled the engine with his choice of Brad Penn oil. He also inspected the entire car and checked it out. Anyone who is a serious air-cooled Porsche guy knows Bob Farmer for his work. immense knowledge. and race engines. A new K+N filter was installed with a FabSpeed Carbon intake box to help draw more air in. The exhaust sounds great and has a deep growl thanks to a Dansk Cup pipe. but still has the catalytic converter and secondary muffler in place so the exhaust doesn’t crackle. A new fuel filer and Genuine Porsche belts were done with the plugs. I have a Brand new in the box set of Red Nology Spark Plug wires that were $550. They are available extra—my car just did not need them. (I’ll cut a good deal). The original 3. 6-liter twin plug engine runs very strong and O’Daniel Porsche in Ft. Wayne Indiana did a compression test. I have the numbers on the receipt to show anyone concerned about the mileage. All the numbers looked great and were within 5-7%(pre valve job. so they should be even better now). The transmission and differentials were serviced with Royal Purple gear oil and the G50 shifts incredibly smooth into every gear. as it properly should. I am unsure when the clutch was done last. but Porsche said it was in great health and still grabbed just fine. Bob Farmer said the transmission was fantastic as well. He has never seen a G50 go bad under normal loads. The brakes are brand new all the way around with Genuine Porsche pads and slotted and drilled rotors to add some extra cooling. but mostly for the look. I never tracked the car. even before restoration. The interior was completely stripped down to the metal and dash. New RS carpet was installed and deleted the back seats. A new German leather headliner was professionally installed while the glass was out and looks flawless. The same gentleman redid the rear deck lid. too. The original shift boot and around the radio is probably the weakest part of the interior. but I still think its fine. Genuine RUF pedal and RUF floor mats were installed at the same time. A brand new Kenwood CD player unit was hooked up and the speakers all work. as they should. I picked this particular unit. because it blended well with the dash when the car was off and did not look like a typical plastic head unit. New metal 911 interior door handles were installed to replace the flimsy plastic factory ones. The sunroof works as it should and was resealed as well during the paint job. I did not want to do anything to the original full power 8-way adjustable seats. because they were in good shape. They work as they should and are heated. A brand new original manual. two genuine brand new keys (master and valet). all receipts. and the Genuine Porsche Authenticity Report from Porsche North America are included as well in the sale. I have Micro Excel sheets of all the parts purchased for the car with the receipts to match. I would be happy to email them to anyone that wants to see. I only listed the main parts above. but many more parts were replaced to make the restoration ready for the road and accurate. The entire restoration was photograph documented and will come with the car. Even though this restoration was extensive. this car is still not perfect. There are many original parts still on the car. so please do not expect perfection when bidding. There is minimal wear on the car. This baby is 25 years old now. which also makes it emission exempt for any smog states. There are known issues with these cars with the dash lights coming on and off and mine are no exception. I have had it inspected twice since I bought it and that’s what I was told by the dealership and Bob Farmer. I strongly encourage anyone that does not know these cars well to look into these cars before bidding. I do not want to hide anything and want both parties happy with the transaction. Many lights are on and Bob Farmer said the fault codes needed to be cleared out due to the work he did. He just does not have the tool and I haven’t the time. Also. the pass. airbag was unhooked when I bought the car. The bag is still mounted and the electrical circuit is completed. but the previous owner said old technology airbags do more harm than good. in most cases. It’s a common 964 thing to do. The driver’s side headlight bucket was broken at one point and I haven’t had time to find another one. but they are out there for $30-60 bucks. The headlight sits in the fender fine. but it may need to be addressed eventually. If I find one prior to auction end. ill get it and it will be given to the buyer. There is plenty missed. but it is hard to keep track when you replace this many parts on a car within a year’s time. If anyone has any questions. please don’t hesitate to email me through Ebay. I will gladly give anyone my number; so serious buyers can contact me for more information or to come see the car in person. I do not have a buy it now. but any reasonable offers will be considered since I need to sell this car extremely soon. I will not give the car away though. If my price is not met. I’ll find a way to keep it. It’s very hard to sell anyways. If you are looking for a 911 C4 that is ready to enjoy. then you have found it. I had it built so I could drive it as much as I wanted for as long as I wanted. Unfortunately. I have only driven the car 500 miles since I bought it back in 2013. I have it priced to sell. With today’s market. 911s are hot and selling high. but the others do not have the work and parts done like mine. Thank you and happy bidding! The car is for sale locally. so I reserve the right to end the auction at any given time. . The car is sold as is. where is. with no warranties of any kind implied. I am not a dealer. so no trades either or payment programs are provided. Buyers arrange all shipping and are responsible for all expenses with either Paypal or shipping. Cashiers check. or cash in hand if we meet at bank are accepted as well.
