Description for Porsche 914 1976

Here is a 1976 Porsche 914 2.0 (Which was the last year for the 914) in Metallic Blue / Marathon blue? Paint code 98. Which I do believe is a "S" and I've heard people say this is the Holy Grail next to the 914-6 option. I have dealt with the 914 for some time and did not think there was a "S" option however, I came across a Ad that says there was an "S" option, Weather this is it or not, I am not for sure? The paint code is 98 not the standard L98 paint code. This car has the option of front and rear sway bars. Still has the Fuel injection system. I think someone kept the original appearance group package alloy wheels and put these wheels on it. Very Solid 914!
These are good little cars and are I feel a good investment. We all know the air cooled 911's are not going down in price and these are going up as well.
Now for the details:I bought the car from a man who had it stored inside since 2011 & prior to that it was stored indoors for many years & was all in pieces. I do believe it was moved several times and that unfortunately some pieces were left at one place or another. From what I was told the motor was rebuilt and then the car had issues with wiring so someone bundled all the wires on the pass. side and they are still tied up to the main wiring harness. I think all the wires are uncut but some do look melted. This car seems very solid and 95% of any rust issues were resolved maybe in the 1990's?It appears to have new floor pans & other metal work in various places. The car was getting ready for paint and had some body work started. Body work will need to be finished before it is ready for paint. It does have different primers on the exterior. There is a pin hole by drivers door handle and in door jam on Pass. side. Also the pass. door has a pin hole on the outside. Some place still have the original paint still on it & Places like the Headlight covers, engine cover, drivers door, door jams, trunk areas, etc... Looks as thou it has never been resprayed??
The interior is in good condition. It does have the cracked dash that is typical. The door panels look good.Could use a good cleaning.
Some of the items that I can think of that are missing and can be easily obtained are: Lighter housing, Center console parts, gas tank filler catch (Have gas cap), front fresh air box, rear trunk lock button, Targa trim pieces, bottom windshield trim, door sill plates, seat belts, headlight knob. There maybe other items, I'm not sure. It does come with a xtra engine cover with chrome "PORSCHE" Letters. The engine and tranny all look complete and untouched. The Hell hole looks fair. Nothing on the dash is hooked up, It has keys but haven't seen if they work on anything yet. All the glass is Original & looks good. The front windshield is siliconed in and will keep water out but would need to be redone. The back glass has the rear defrost option as well.
This car will need a full restoration, It may be something that can driven while being restored? There is a hole in the front trunk, which may mean that it had the dealer installed A/C? (all those parts are missing).I was going to restore this car and would definitely be worth the investment but we have 3 other classic cars in restoration process & we just don't have the time for it.
This car is a solid canidate for the restoration process. I have lots of pictures and can send more to you. Also, If you would like larger pictures, Please let me know & I will send them to you.Clean Missouri Title in hand!I can provide a Bill of sale if needed.
This car rolls steers and brakes and e-brakes all work.I've seen other 914/ 914S Porsches that had lots of rust, go for lots of money.
This is listed with a Very Low Reserve. Don't let his rare solid 914 Get away!
I have done my best to describe this car to the best of my knowledge. I do not want to mislead any one. The car will need a restoration. Please see the pictures as it shows exactly what you are bidding on.

I do have pics of the longitudes without the rockers panels on. It may have had rust there at one time but has been repaired and looks as they was put back with correct parts as original and is solid. Also the tires will need to be replaced and front tire has a slow leak.

*****. ****Thank you for all the questions and interest, I would like to add the following info.:
-Reserve is met, you bid to own.-Of the three keys that came with the car 1 will work in the ignition switch and 1 will work on drivers door. I couldn't get the other one to work on anything?-It does have the "Porsche" embroidered on the drivers floor mat.-The console is the nicer flip up center console.-Looking thru my shed I did find an extra wiring harness that is for a 914 with dash fuse box, I will included it with the car. I am not sure what year it came from but it maybe of help putting this one back together.?
Again if you need more pictures of the car without bumpers, rockers, or trunk areas, or interior I have them. I bought this car because it was a solid car which is hard to do these day, even some nice looking cars are hiding a lot of rust.Thank you again for all the interest!
