Description for Porsche 911 1974
This is a very nice looking and driving 1974 Porsche 911 Targa. According to the 3rd owner that the current miles showing are original to the car, 37,347 miles. I cannot prove this, but I know the second owner rarely drove it and was stored for nearly 25 years by him. The second owner also had the car repainted from its original color of Gemini Metallic (Blue) code 335 to Black, It's been painted for approximately 10 years, it still looks very good, a couple small imperfections here and there but a great driver, and local shows paint job. The door jambs and underhood were painted Black with new decals applied in the Engine Bay as original, the Carerra rear Duck Tail was also added at that time, but I do have the original Engine Lid which was also painted Black at that time. I added Flat Black Carerra Decals that you only see if you're looking hard for them since it had the Spoiler added I thought they would look great and they do. The body is in excellent condition, no signs of any collision damage or rust repair. The interior I believe to be original and in very nice condition, no rips or tears in the seats, nice door panels, excellent dash, and the carpet is exceptional. I recently replace the original Fuchs alloys with reproduction Black and polished Fuchs look-alike with new 205/60-15 tires, I have the original Wheels that will go with the car. the car comes with the original Spare Tire, Jack and Lug Wrench, and original tools. I do not have any paperwork, or maintenance records, or original Owners Manuals, unfortunately. I did pay for a Porsche COA, Certificate of Authentication from Porsche of North America shown on pictures. The car runs and drives wonderful, it's a joy to drive, goes into all gears effortlessly, no grinding in any gear. I've had it to about 90 mph with no shakes or shimmies, brakes stop you smooth and straight. The original Choke works as it should, the car starts also effortlessly. It does have a smalloil leak that I'm sure is from how much the car has sat the last 30 years, and the passenger defrost seems to fog up also most likely due to Oil/Air mixture going up thru the vent hose? All and all this is a great car at a reasonable price. If you have any questions just call me, the car and I are in Michigan so keep that in mind when you call. Todd (616) 446-3624NO RESERVE.
