"Garage find" 1960 Porsche 356B T5 1600 Super Coupe: One owner since the 1960's; black-plated California car; excellent solid original body and floors; numbers-matching engine and transmission; always garaged in Palo Alto, CA; stored and not driven for decades. Beautiful original car, purchased just as you see it. I tried to buy this fine-looking car about nine years ago without luck, from a retired engineer who lives on estate a few blocks from Stanford University. As luck would have it, the engineer's daughter contacted me last week and sold us the car. It was virtually unchanged from when I had looked at it in 2010. We have kept the car in that exact condition, with the exception of draining the old fuel, changing the fluids, cleaning the carburetors and starting the engine. While we haven't driven the car any distance, the engine runs well. The tires are decades old, and all mechanical systems should be checked prior to driving.
