Introduced as a lower cost version of 356 Cabriolet, The... Speedster's low windshield and minimalist appointments made it a hit with the driver and racer crowds. The Speedster was a rather simple car and enthusiast found they could mimic the original by making a fiberglass replica Speedster body and mounting it on a VW Beetle chassis. The result looked, sounded and drove like the original. Our Speedster is a factory built car by Vintage Motorcars. Vintage is a major player in the Speedster world, having built over 3,000 cars. The body quality is very good and the interior is quite authentic. The Speedster runs great and is quite quick. It has a performance exhaust that sounds better than it should.
