Description for Porsche 914 1973
1973 Porsche PROJECT .THE RED PORSCHE is what this car will be WHEN COMPLETED.This is a NOT RUNNING project car that includes a recently running 2-0 engine plus a completely overhauled transaxle with all new syncronisers, new clutc, pressure plate and to bearing,a single Webber carb setu, leather upholstered front seats, new tires, and 3 extra 1.7 engines disassembled There is a complete original fuel injection for a 1.7And the fiberglass body kit ( never installed) for a 969 conversion . This is what I was told when I bought the kit. There is some rust around the drivers door handle and of course below the battery box, but overall car seems to have no impact damage and overall a pretty sound body for this project, I drove the car foe a couple of months before the engine heat issue, steered and stopped fine.all the lights worked and had no electrical issues of any kind. This car was last running in 2011 and has been stored in my climate controlled garage and has not seen rain since I bought itI originally bought this car running and driving with the 1.7 in i, but had a heat problem with the engin, bought another 1., disassembled the engine and it had issues als, came across another 1.7 with issue, then found a 2.0 out of a running 1974 that a guy was parting, had the trans axle rebuilt by a Porsche race prep place in KC ( 2400$ ) later i bolted th drivetrain together and dropped the car to a different shop to start the get - running and body assembly estimate. This is where I have to physically remove the car 6 months later with no work done and my eng-trans unbolted again. In the interim I have built 3 car project, and just purchased a crossfire to have a running 2- seate, I'm looking to free up garage space and recoup some of the money I have invested .There are 3 complete Porsche 1.7 crank and rod sets that are rebuilable along with all ( 12 ) cylinders not on last bore, I have a gasket set for a 1.7 and any other Porsche stuff goes all with this as a WHOLE purchase, I AM NOT PARTING this out. Complete car with clean title and you can sell all the extras for enough to finish this carContact me through messaging and I will respon, I could deliver this car a reasonable distance in an enclosed trailer for a FE, not FREE Jim Belton Mo 64012Please no bidders with zero ratings this car needs to go to a new home
