Description for Porsche 928 1987
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1987 Porsche 928 S4. Coming in the very recognizable Porsche Guards/Indian Red with a Black leather interior that has held together extremely well over the years with very little signs of wear and plenty of cushion in the seats left for cruising. The interior will keep you comfortable with all the amenities that Porsche is known for including, the AM/FM radio and CD player, power windows, locks, sunroof, mirrors, and a rear window wiper to keep it clear. And for your passengers, the rear seats offer room and vents to keep them comfortable. Even though Porsche was not known for it the 5.0L 90 degree V8 with four overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder, and a 4-speed Tiptronic gearbox. Upgraded on this example is a Devek aluminum radiator, front sway bar, there are also trans cooler lines, long tube headers, Koni Sports shocks with Weltmeister progressive springs, K&N air filter and to top it off upgrade chips to give this 928 a little more get up. For all the fun that Porsche has offered over the years, this is another fine example of the engineering and speed that comes with style!Introduced in 1978 the Porsche 928 was anything but Porsche. Front-engine, V8, automatic transmission, were all words that were not synonymous with the brand. The car was futuristic in design and the Luxury Sport Grand Touring 928 combined the power, poise, and handling characteristics of a sports car with the refinement, comfort, and equipment of a luxury sedan leading many executives to believe it was to replace the 911 as its appeal would hold a wider audience. The 928 S4 debuted for the 1987 Model year and featured an updated version of the 5.0 liter V8 as well as some updated styling cues giving the car a cleaner, sleeker look.
