Running Condition

This Porsche 912e is in excellent running condition. This is the only year of the electric fuel injection system on a 912. The motor fires right up without hesitation every time. The transmission shifts all gears smoothly. This car has never overheated and cruises 70 comfortably. The steering wheel is straight and centered without any pulling left or right of the lanes. Driving this Porsche across the country should not be an issue with minimal mechanical knowledge. The Porsche is equipped with brand new Nexen tires and drives very smooth. The Porsche averages 400 miles per fuel tank fill up.

Body & Paint

The body is straight with no Bondo repairs or damage. The car was repainted in 2005 and shows signs of a “daily driver” paint job. This car is a very nice daily driver. The doors close effortlessly and open just as easily. The hood struts are in good working order. The hood latch is firm without play. The fuel door latch is firm without play. The deck lid latch is firm without play. The deck lid strut is nice and firm and opens immediately once the latch is released. There is some bubbling under the windshield wipers and on the roof that has not grown in roughly 15 years. The previous owner says that the bubbling has been there since roughly 2008 around the time he bought it. Since purchasing the car in late 2007, the Porsche has been inland—away from the coast and bubbling has not grown or spread.

Interior

The interior is complete and mostly original. The sports seats were an added option when ordered in 1975 by the original owner. The sports seats have been repaired for modern comfort and dependability. The gauges all work as they should and are clearly visible. This interior is very clean and clear of any odors and stains. Seat Tracks, and seatbelts work very well as they should. The keys are correct and 100% functional. First key included is (1) BLK Porsche Master Key for doors, ignition, & glove box!The second key is (1) RED Porsche Valet Key for driver door lock & unlock, ignition, and passenger door Unlock only. Valet key will not unlock or lock glove box as designed by Porsche security. There are also three spare keys, one master, one valet, and one steering wheel lock.

Electrical

All of the electrical functions work well on the Porsche. All lights and warning instrument lights work as they should. Headlight switch works in both high and low beam settings. The hazard light switch works as it should. The stereo works as it should. The climate control also works with all settings. The horn works as it should as well. The lightbulbs have been changed behind the instruments.

Glass & Chrome

All of the Glass & Chrome are original to the car and in very good condition. The chrome does clean up well and the glass has no cracks or chips. Some rubber seals show signs of age and should be replaced. The windows roll up and down with ease.

Undercarriage & Trunk

The undercarriage and Trunk are clean from any major damage and rust free. The front trunk area is complete with the original carpet. The spare tire is a NOS wheel from a ‘81 911. This is the correct wheel for a 1976 912e.
