Description for Porsche 944 1989
Gorgeous and very rare Porsche 951 Turbo with all the S options from 89. Please do your homework on Wikipedia…the 89 Turbo is the same M030 upgraded car as the 88 Turbo S. A lot of people call this an 89 Turbo S car. Paint is in fantastic condition. It is at least a 9/10 with a couple minor chips. The car has a 3m clear bra on the front and on the mirrors to protect your investment. The interior is about as clean as you will see. It has that old classic car smell that makes me love being in it. It is a true collector grade car. Seats have a spot in each corner that will need sewn. I cant get pictures of it as it is very minor. As well. the dash has the typical cracks in it. NOT close to being deep or unsightly. but does come with the cover. Wheels were completely refurbished and perfect and the air conditioning was upgraded to the latest version and blows extremely cold! Tires are new and brakes stop on a dime. It has the S upgraded S4 big brakes. There really is not much to show by way of flaws. However. I am chasing a stutter which is turning out to be a missed vac line or a MAF problem. Clutch is solid. however the 2nd gear synchro is shot in the tranny. Shifting above 3500 RPM in 2nd gear (ONLY 2nd GEAR) will result in a grind. Under 3500 rpm and you wouldn’t know it. This has the highly sought after AOR LSD tranny so will be worth it to keep it. The tranny alone in this car is worth thousands as is. This is one of 1385 cars delivered by Porsche to the US in 1989 in this configuration. This is a low numbers VIN for the year giving this the upgraded guts in the motor. This car also has the Lindsey racing chip (Considering that as a source of the stutter as well). but does come with the original chips and original fuel pressure regulator. Again – do you homework on these cars. You will see that I have taken care of just about everything that will go wrong. I love this car. but it is time for me to let her go. I do not have 10 years to wait around for this to become a $70. 00 car. The prices are rising and I am willing to get out now. I have other cars on my bucket list. This car is very much show car and ready to go quality. The below are things I have had done in past year (1. 00 miles). Well over 10K spent: All New Belts. water pump serviceDME RelayTranny Fluid flush and fillVac LinesPintle cap and O Ring replacement on Fuel InjectorsSpark PlugsSpark Plug WiresDistributor CapDistributor RotorO2 SensorFront crank shaft sealOil Pump SleeveRollers and TensionersLow Temp ThermostatRadiatorCoolantOil Pan GasketWeld and Heat Wrap HeaderFront Wheel Bearings This car is incredible and this is your chance to own history. This is the next collectable…now is the time. Aside from the stutter (which should be an easy fix) and the 2nd gear synchro – this car is perfect. Not a leak in site and is ready to be in your garage. Comes with California Car cover made for the 944. Car is sold as is where is and is listed on other sites. There is ZERO refund on this car. I have described all I know and welcome PPI. My work was all done at Technical Dimensions in Jacksonville. FL. The owner is Seth who was a long time Brumos Porsche mechanic and Porsche racer. You may call them and ask about the car…I encourage it. Have financing ready. I will not accept cashier check. Cash or wire transfer only – or check sent directly on loan. I have a loan on this car and bank holds the title. Car will not be released until funds have cleared. Once funds clear – I will pay off loan and have title sent. You can have the car the minute the funds clear. I am not negotiable on this. My loan is with Nationwide Bank (same as Nationwide Insurance) and I suggest if you are getting a loan to check them out. Ridiculously low rates. Buyer responsible for pick up or transport and cost associated. There is no warranty on the car. I reserve the right to pull listing. If you have zero feedback…please touch base with me through ebay first. Happy Bidding and good luck. This is the next big deal in Porsche!
