NO WORRIES ! ***Here s up for bids a little time machine, a capsule not only to feel like if the time hadstopped in the 80sbut also thisEuropeancar feels so different than any Japanese or American car from that Era its like driving in Europe.
So I found this car that belonged to an older gentleman who was litterally in love with his Renault 5 ( He had two), the car was always kept in good running condition and you can feel it when you drive this little fun car. The paint I explained in the condition description has been refreshed by the previous owner and was done with a paint brus, yeah thats what older peeps do sometimes, but honestly it shows well since the car had no damage or rust it was only done to refresh the color.
You can see the car has no rust or putty under that homemade job, I would drive it as is, if it was just to commute, its a ten footer that looks goodand if you are a real collecto, just sand it down smooth and spra, there is no rust on this car.
It starts, run, drive, handle and pretty much everything works ( from the weirdly placed dome lights to the horn located on the turn signal stalk, its torsion bar suspension feels light and nimble, the shocks are new, the brakes are good the somewhat vague 4 speed manual transmission is easy to drive.
The tiny carbureted 1.4 liter engine runs on any grade of gasoline and is capable of up to 50 MPG on highway and around 29 MPG in the city(US Gallons).
That a real cool car, a learned how to drive on a Renault , and this one feels, sounds and smelljust like the first time I sat in one 30 years ago.
Im tempted to keep it but I have so many cars and motorcycles its not even funny...I need to free up some space...
Bid with confidenc, I wouldn't beafraid to drive this little bugger anywhere safely and reliably.
*** I had my previous listing for this car removed yesterday by Ebay as I was too lazy to go check the VIN and put it in the description, Sorry guys!***
