1987 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER SPUR SALOON LWBBackgrounds of this model- The Silver Spur is the successor of the Silver Wraith II. - The model was also available in Bentley-edition. as a Bentley Mulsanne Long wheelbase. - The Silver Spur was not available on the American. Canadian and Japanese markets until model year 1981. just like the Silver Spirit. - The Silver Spur was also sold with a division. from 1983 up to and including 1988. Original characteristics- The Silver Spur has the same specifications as the Silver Spirit but is lengthened by 4 inch (10 centimeter) compared to the Silver Spirit. - The Silver Spur is standard provided with an everflex vinyl roof. RR-badges on the C-style and hub caps in Corniche-style. - The extra length is completely available for the rear passengers. The rear doors are 4 inches longer. - The Silver Spur could be ordered with a division. - The Silver Spur has the same engine and gear box as the Silver Wraith II: a 6750 cc V8 engine without turbo with a three speed automatic gear box (GM400) and carburetters (Japanese cars fuel injection). Rolls-Royce produced the Silver Spur from 1980 to 1989 as a long-wheel base variant of the Silver Spirit. It was lower and wider than the outgoing Silver Shadow. but shared the same floorpans and 6. 25 liter V8.
