1968 SHELBY MUSTANG GT 500 convertible. Early dual serial number car. #136. Complete rotisserie restoration completed 3 years ago. Runs and drives great. completely sorted out. This is the real deal and has all the paperwork and tags to back it up . Original tags in place DOOR. FENDER. BUCK and DASH tag. Two original build sheets that were found in the car. one under seat and one under dash. nbsp;also have the MARTI report. Under 20. 00 original miles. This car was parked in 1973 by original owner. Last inspection sticker on car was dated 1974 due. The serial number is stamped into back of motor drivers side head and also on top of the original C6 transmission . The serial number is also stamped into both right and left fender aprons. The car is 1 of 402 GT 500 convertibles made in 1968 and is 1 of 8 in this combination. The seats and dash pad are the originals with no rips or repairs. While this car would have come with steel wheels and hub caps it has been fitted with a set of original Shelby 10 spoke wheels that have been restored and new radial tires for better driving experience. The original radiator was sent out and re-cord and restored. Original smog system completely restored and still has its rare revision A fan shroud. C8ZX carburetor and original Carter fuel pump all restored and on the car. The car still retains all the original fiberglass body parts including the very rare early 1968 2 piece valance. The car is registered with the Shelby American Automobile Club and in the latest registry. If you own Shelbys and are looking for a great addition to your collection than this car speaks for itself. If you know little or nothing about them you can take comfort in knowing this is the real thing.
