Shelby purchased 1500 Dakota pickups from Dodge in 1989 and reworked them at the facility in Whittier California installing the great reliable 5. 2 liter V8 engine. tuning the 4 speed overdrive transmission and a 3. 91 Limited Slip transmission. This truck has all the original Shelby equipment and badges the dash plaque and the plate under the hood registering the engine number. It also has Carroll Sheby's signature on the dash with a card authenticating the signiture. The 5. 2 liter 318 cu inch engine has 60 k on a rebuild and is the original motor. the transmission has also been rebuilt and the air conditioning was completely rebuilt. Will come with receipt for most of the work. This truck starts right up with a mellow rumble. has snappy shifting transmissionand cruises smoothly down the road. It has plenty of power to be a fun truck to drive and can be an everyday drive without any work. The Shelby body graphics were left off after it was repainted. but are available online. Nice driving rare little truck that will always have some value for a cheap prices. The interior is in amazing condition. o rips no tears very nice.
