Description for Shelby 1965
All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed. There's nothing quite like a Shelby Cobra replica. They are about as much fun as you can have in a car. The gorgeous shape, excellent power-to-weight ratio, and open air motoring create such a thrill. Further, this one has many nice features you don't always find; soft top with side curtains, wipers, radio, heater, adjustable seats, and more.
This example, produced by LA Exotics, brings a lot to the table. To begin, it is powered by a Ford 351W small block. I think this is the ideal engine for a Cobra; it has plenty of power for such a small car, and is much lighter than a 427 for better handling and braking. This motor has an aluminum intake, Holley 4-barrel carburetor with electric choke, and electronic ignition. There is also a dual remote oil filter setup. Behind the engine is a Ford 4-speed Toploader transmission. It uses a hydraulic clutch that works great with just the right amount of pedal effort. The rear end is the desirable Ford 9". There are also 4-wheel power disc brakes and a Mustang II rack and pinion steering setup.
The car's red paint and white stripes really make it stand out (the roar from the side pipes does this as well). The fiberglass is in nice condition without any cracks or spidering. This Cobra also comes with a full top and side curtains. It is one of the best fitting, most practical tops I've seen on a Cobra, and stows nicely in the trunk. There are also tubular bumpers that can be bolted back on if desired. And not to be missed are the new US Mags wheels and Mickey Thompson Street Comp tires (245/45R17 front, 295/35R18 rear).
The interior is a bit more spacious than some Cobras, making it a little easier to get in and out. There are storage pockets on the rear bulkhead and doors, which are more handy than you might think. This example has many features you don't always find on a Cobra replica. These include adjustable seats, self-cancelling turn signals, working windshield wipers, and a heater. The dash contains a full set of gauges, including a vacuum gauge, along with a Pioneer stereo, power port, and USB jack. There is also a working horn and parking brake.
This car really is a blast to drive. It has a lot of nice features you don't always find. And as a replica you don't have to worry about taking a million dollar car wherever you want, whenever you want.
