You’re about to bid on one of the most sought after Shelby GT500 fastback built and restored in a «concours» condition. All numbers match, known history, fully documented, the real thing with less than 80000 actual miles and off course in the Shelby Registry.

Shelby’s Registry description

2853 GT 500 Completed 7/5/67 and shipped to Cadiz Motor Co (Cadiz, KY) A «Z» precedes the Shelby VIN previously owned by Miles Weinmann (Champaign, IL) ’71 form Packey Webb Ford (Wheato, IL) used car lot for $2,495. It is believed to have had only prior owner (not known) Purchased by third owner John Schilsky (Springfield, IL) ’00-’08. Shilsky advised the SAAC in’08 that he was putting the car for sale. The car was sold at the Barret Jackson auction (Scottsdale, AZ) 1/08. The car was sold to Paul Waterworth (Jupiter, FL) then sold to the present owner in ’13 after a professional inspection/appraisal.

Note that the car sold for 209000$ in ’08 and was appraised at215000$ in ’13 before purchase.

The magazine reported the sale of Shelby no 2853 at Barret Jackson for the sum of 209 000 $ US dollars. It was described as a very nice driver that was driven and enjoyed. It was then restored professionally and was then appraised before last purchase by the present owner for the sum of 215000$ in 2013.
