Description for Studebaker 1956

Recent body off frame inspection and repair. Body is very original with the only rust remedied with a small professional repair under the drivers feet. Otherwise sound and rust free. Body and frame. New door glass, vents and windshield. All window regulators and flippers have been serviced, repaired and work well. New rubber except for rear window. Recent new interior top to bottom. Frame and body interior including trunk, steam cleaned and epoxy painted. Sound deadener on floor and ceiling.All gages, lights, blowers and switches work with the exception of backup lights. New Retro Bluetooth, hands free radio. Speedo and tach are Avanti. Ignition keys fit door but not trunk.
Engine has been completely rebuilt with .020 overbore flat top pistons. As of now has no more than 3500 miles on it.Solid state distributor, alternator with integral regulator. Avanti R-3 cast iron headers and completely new exhaust system. New Edelbrock 1906 AVS2 Carburetor 650 CFM With Electric Choke. Stainless flex fan.
Transmission is Borg Warner T-10 with rebuilt Avanti shifter. Transmission has new bearings, seals, gaskets and synchro's. New custom drive shaft, rear end is 1956 Studebaker. Don't know the ratio.
This car runs great and has plenty of power. Super reliable and fun to drive. Has a great sound. Brakes are the original, but rebuilt, Studebaker drums all around. They stop very well.
Paint could be better as it has some small blemishes. Panel fit is good but could be improved with further adjustment.
