Description for Subaru 360 1969
Looking to have a car that no one else will have at the next cars and coffee meet! Here it is. For those of you that do not know what a Subaru 360 is, hey were the first ever cars that Subaru imported into the US in the late 60's and early 70's. These cars have a 2 cylinder, stroke engine that is located in the rear of the car and drives the rear wheels. They have a separate oil tank in the rear that mixes with standard gas from the gas tank, eaning you don't have to mix it yourself and fill the car up. They were offered in the 2 door coupe like mine and also a van and mini pickup truck. They are micro cars and are about the size of the original Mini Cooper's. They had a whopping 25HP and could supposedly get over 50MPG. They all had manual transmissions and suicide doors! I have for sale a total of 4 Subaru 360 micro cars. I am selling everything together and will not separate the cars or parts. The main car that was driven was the yellow one shown in the pictures. This is a 1969 360 which the previous owner drove from Colorado to South Carolina as it sits now(lights were added to the roof by the owner so he could be seen by large trucks when on the road, hese can be easily removed). It would need a new battery to start and some air in the tires. The car ran well, he brakes were strong and it shifted fine. I have not started the car in the past 2 years though. The body is solid with minimal rust and some dents as shown. This car is the one that has a valid title and was registered. I have two other white cars shown(have title for one of these too)that are good for spares and have a lot of useful parts on them including engines, uspension, lass and interior parts. The red one shown has an extremely solid body because the car came from Arizona. It has some dent's, ut the car is solid enough to be used for spare body parts or you could even make another whole car out of the three of them. It has an engine as well. I also have 2 extra engines(you would have a total of 6) and boxes of spare parts(interior pieces, ngine gaskets, xles, lectrical, eadlight surrounds, xterior parts, ear windows, heels/tires, ody parts, epair manual etc...)I have accumulated from EBay and other sources over the years. All parts will go to the buyer. As it usually goes, just do not have the time to restore the car and could use the money for other projects around the house. Micro cars are getting to be more and more collectable and since they are small are affordable to restore. Once restored this would make a great addition to a Subaru dealership showroom floor. If you are a fan of older Subaru's or micro cars and arelooking for a project, ere is everything you need. Would require $500 PayPal non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction closing. Would need to arrange local pickup within 10 days of closing and remainder of payment, ill only accept cash or certified bank check. Cars are located near Hickory, C about 45 minutes north west of Charlotte. Thank you for looking.
