Description for Subaru 360 1971
Look at this poor sad thing. Doesn’t it make you want to take it home and restore it to its previous funky glory? When it made its debut in the U.S.it was pronounced Soo BAR ooo. There was a bizarre commercial for it where a voice-over announced, “Is the Subaru really cheap and ugly?” A long-haired hippie chick in bell bottoms opens the suicide door and announces—as she will throughout the two-minute commercial—“The little Subaru—Wow!” She demonstrates its fuel economy by walking up to the car with a large brandy snifter as it sits photogenically on the beach. The brandy snifter, sparkling with lens flare, contains gas which she pours in the "The Little Subaru-Wow!"
You can own this piece of Subaru history. Yes, it’s sad and care-worn, but think of the minimal materials it would take to restore it.
360 2 cylinder micro car. It has 54000 miles bill of sale only.
