1975 BJ40 Frame Off Restoration

This is a museum piece. The donor vehicle was a 1975 BJ40 Toyota Landcruiser with only 2 owners and 77,000km (Ëœ47k miles). The restoration took nine months to complete and cost over $50,000. The vehicle was taken down to the frame and stripped to bare metal. From there it received a top-notch mechanical and cosmetic restoration. Even though the low-mileage diesel engine ran like new, t was taken apart and rebuilt. Every piece of this BJ40 has been touched, nd only the highest quality original Toyota OEM parts were used. No Chinese Parts were used, nly genuine Toyota parts. Real leather seats. The floor mats were $3000 alone. Every nut and bolt has been replaced. New glass. A recent example of a gasoline FJ model sold on Sothebys for $101,000.

My BJ40 underwent an identical restoration. Every effort was made to mimic that restoration down to the finest detail, nd comparing the two vehicles side by side, t is very hard to tell the difference. My land cruiser, lthough it received the same restoration and may look exactly the same as that one, ctually is far superior. It is what's under the hood that counts. Not only is this the diesel version, hich Toyota never imported into the US, t will average at about 35mpg. These bullet proof engines will last forever and this diesel version of the FJ40 is arguably the greatest 4x4 offroad vehicle ever created. This is your chance to own a piece of history. I must stress that this is not a daily driver. This is a collectible vehicle that deserves to be babied. I sell land cruisers for a living, nd this has been my pride and joy for the last nine months. As you can see in the pictures, his BJ40 looks like it just rolled off the factory floor. I expect the bidding to match that of the Sotheby's auction, aybe even a little more since this is the diesel version.
