Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1976
What is up for sale?I am selling an *almost* original, orgeous HJ45. It is about 95% original! (See my notes below) This is one of the most rare finds you will ever see on eBay Motors. You simply DO NOT normally find these pickups in this condition. Typically, hey've been used by coffee farmers throughout the region and the beds are all beat up. Not the case with this TWO-OWNER vehicle! Yep. Two owners!!
I personally inspected this vehicle and it runs and drives great. Not only that, t looks spectacular. It wouldn't take much at all to get it to Show Quality! (If you're into showing these) But if you want to drive it, recommend it! She drives great. The six-cylinder H engine is known to give hundreds of thousands of miles and this truck only has just over 100k Kilometers! Just at 70,000 miles on it!
Notes: Vehicle has two yellow headlamps installed on the front bumper. Those are not original. Vehicle has a radio installed inside, ut get this, he owner put the radio in the glove compartment so as not to cut or drill the dash!! Smart thinking. The vehicle is the original color, owever it has been painted on the outside. The paint is very nice, ut there is a bit of overspray on the door panel edges. Not a big deal, ut you need to know about it. The spare wheel is kept underneath, o it gets what the bottom of the car gets. There are a few spots on the spare wheel that need some attention. No rust damage, ut where rocks have nicked the wheel, he paint has been scratched and oxidation naturally will begin. I give the bottom of the vehicle about a 7 our of 10.
Floorboards, hassis and Bed
Obviously the big questions with these center around the biggest problem areas: The floorboards, he bed, nd the chassis. I have inspected it carefully and the floorboards are in spectacular condition. Not rebuilt. No sloppy Bondo. Because this vehicle was kept inside a garage, here is no rust damage to the floorboards. The bed is in similar condition as the floorboards. I give it an 8 out of 10. The guy who owns it uses it to work so there is an occasional small scratch in the new paint, ut nothing major at all. I am not kidding when I say this vehicle is is spectacular condition. The Chassis: While not repainted, his chassis (frame) has no damage or holes from rust that I could see. There are some spots where the frame paint was chipped by a rock but no holes.
Shipping
This vehicle ships to the US from Costa Rica. Typically it can take 3-6 weeks to complete the shipping process because of the boats' schedules. I will ship it to most any port but it takes a little less time to various ports around the country. We can talk more about this process and I will clear up any questions you might have. I will pay for the vehicle to ship to Miami, L, ouston, X, acksonville, L or Port Hueneme, A (Just North of L.A.) Other ports may cost more.
Insurance
One big things that I see as a necessary element to importing a Costa Rican Land Cruiser is insurance. This truck is fully insured from here, t sea and to your port of choice (see list above) This way, f the ship hits a storm and starts dumping the load, our purchase is protected.
Guarantee
I guarantee that you will be able to register this vehicle in the US, r you will receive your money back. I have shipped lots of these to the States and haven't had any problems at all. All paperwork is properly filed with the port authorities in both countries. All you have to do is pick it up at the port and pay your very minimum entry fee through customs. I will walk you through the steps in the States too (which is a total of three forms) Yes, ou can even register this in California!!
Registration in the US and California
Yes, ou can register this vehicle in the States. Because of it's age, t does NOT have to meet the current safety or emission standards. Vehicles exceeding 25 years in age (this one is nearly 40 now) are exempt under those standards. Even in California, here they restrict vehicles a bit more, t can be registered. Because it is older than 1979, A will allow it to be registered! Bid away!
Why do we love our vehicles?
Americans love our vehicles and when you have a 4x4, ou tend to like to show off a bit. Admit it. You like having the coolest ride on the road and turning some heads!I moved from the States to Costa Rica just about a year ago only to find a country FULL of Land Cruisers. Some in terrible condition and some in terrific condition.
I decided to obtain the ones I found in greatcondition. Beef them up a bit with some extras and sell them on eBay. As you can see, have a very, ery long standing, 00% rating on eBay. So, uy with confidence. Been selling on here since the late '90s.
Don't be "City"
If you want to be city, hen head down to your nearest Chrysler Jeep dealer and buy a Wrangler. They have great stereos, /C and cruise control. Plus the V6 will give you a quiet and comfortable on-road ride.
If, owever, ou're looking for a 4x4, hen buy a Land Cruiser. They are way more stylish and will turn so many more heads. They will also get you out of situations with unmatched 4x4 performance. Old Land Cruisers are special and they're not for everyone. But for that person who wants to get a bit more attention this is a vehicle that certainly will!
But why diesel? Gas is so cheap!!
Is it? A couple of years ago gas was into the $4.00 range per gallon. Sure, t's come down lately, ut as you know it can go up just as quickly.Diesels get about 30 MPG! And the engines can run a half a million miles ..... or more!!!
Why buy an imported Diesel Land Cruiser?
- Top is removable! That is very cool and envy invoking.
- You can run these on biodiesel, egetable oil or diesel. Be green with a yellow truck
- Easy to find parts for these vehicles. There are lots of fabricators throughout the US and Central America. Also motors are easy to work on.
- These diesel engines are engineered for a half a million miles or more!!
- This is a rare vehicle! Diesels weren't imported to the US....until now!
- Mileage!! They can get 30+ MPG. Tell that to your Jeep dealer!
- HEAD TURNING MAGIC! Use this to show off your business!! Want to get noticed? Park one of these babies out front! This would be perfect for a Toyota dealer in the States
- Unlike Jeep Wranglers or other 4x4s, and Cruiser values increase over time rather than decrease. Keep her beautiful and sell her later! Try that will a mass-production vehicle in the States.
