Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1974
For sale is a 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser, aving recently undergone a frame off restoration. The guy who did it for me did a beautiful job restoring the body - you can see the paint job for yourself in the pictures. BUT thats about it. I would say the truck is about 80% restored. Some of the work done was half baked (not sure if you can use the other word on eBay). Minor annoyances include some missing bolts orunoriginal bolts (does not affect function or safety). I have purchased most of the available bolt kits and will provide to the buyer. Biggest annoyance to me is the rear door has no handle to access from the outside of the vehicle - you have to crawl in and open from the inside. It is not broke - it was restored that way!? Bumperettes are missing on the back (I have them and will provide to the buyer). No emblems (again I will provide). The seats were completely re-upholstered nicely. No roof liner. Theodometer and speedometers don't work. Nice brush guard on the front with a Kodiak winchwith I have not got to work (only tried once). Off road tires are brand new with < 100 miles on them. I personally had the exhaust replaced and the coolant system repaired after I got the vehicle. The truck starts and runs fine otherwise. I have it licensed and registered with a clean title. The back story is that I got bit by the FJ40 bug and purchased this knowing it was a 40 year old truck andexpecting to have to do some work on it. After owning it for several months realized I don't have the time, talent or energy it needs. Decided to put it up for sale to some lucky bidder.
I have the truck for sale locally and reserve the right to the end the auction upon sale.
