Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1972
I am selling my 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Not because I want to at all but because I need to. This cruiser is nice overall and has very little rust. The rust had been repaired with some very light bondo work before I purchased it. The previous owner did not tell me about that so I am posting this out of honesty as I appreciate people that are honest and up frontmyself. I have had a couple different cruiser specialists from Colorado Springs and Denver look at this cruiser in and out and underneath and all have commented on the overall good shape of the body. Very solid overall for a 1972. This cruiser came from dry southern California. I have replaced the fiberglass top with a freshly rebuilt one so it has a good rain gutter and a newoem weatherstrip. The doors are a different color because I purchased thoseseparately ~ the previous owner sold the original ones before I bought it... The doors are in great shape as well. This cruiser is in primer and has the majority of the most difficult work done already (there is a slightwrinkle in hood that pictures hardly pick up yet) for a easier full restoration that will make a awesome head turning rig. I have two brand new sport bucket seats (CPA1025 Black Leatherette Cipher Auto Racing Seats) that are in the sealed box yet. I replaced the leaf springs (I will include the original leaf springs as well) and shackles so it is 6" or so higher than stock. Also new nitro shocks. This is a Skyjacker complete system. Brand new BFG Krawler TA 35/13.50/15 tires on perfect condition aluminum wheels. It also will come with $1,000+ of genuineoem parts that include a full new set of weatherstripping for the hard top ~ (even though the existing weatherstripping on the hard topisn't bad at all and I almost sent the new stripping backonce I looked at it) and oem door parts and new door handles and some new latches and seat frames and smallpieces. Truly my loss is your gain. Also a heavy duty front bumper that has a small to average sized stinger thathasn't been assembled and welded yet. The powertrain is a strong running 351 Ford Cleveland with a 4 barrel carb with a solid 4 speed transmission that shifts well and is fun to drive. The previous owner said is had been professionally installed (the 351 Cleveland) and certified by the Bureau of Automotive Repairs in California. Mileage is unknown becauseodometerisn't currently working. Most if not allgauges and lights work. The cruiser is located in western kansas in a dry shop. I reserve the right to sell locally. It is generating lots of interest and if whoever buys it is a reasonable ways away from me I will consider delivering myself for a fair charge if desired. Otherwise shipping is up to the new buyer. Cleartitle in hand. I am not interested in any trades whatsoever. Thanks for reading this and looking! Any questions feel free to email me! Thanks ~ Alex
