Relisted due to a non paying bidder, this time as a Buy it Now: 1985 Toyota Celica GT. This is the last year for the great 22RE engine and Rear Wheel Drive for Celica. This one has 70,144 actual miles. I wouldn't be afraid to get in it and go anywhere, at anytime. Runs smooth and quiet.No smoke or scary noises. Overdrive Automatic Transmission shifts smoothly. Recent work performed within the last year includes: New Fuel Pump in the tank, New Front Brake pads, and Master Cylinder, New Exhaust from the Converter back, and 4 New Cooper Tires. Everything works as it should except the Drivers side power mirror, and the Air Conditioning. The A/C compressor turns on and runs quiet, but doesn'tproducecold air. Probably needs a recharge. I have not tried open the power sunroof asthe car is currently outdoors and I wouldn't know what to do if I opened it and it wouldn't close....so I haven't even tried.Mini spare has been replaced with a full size one, causing a "hump" in the carpeted hatch area, as it is a little taller than the mini spare.The interior is amazing. No rips,tears,cigarette burns,dash cracks etc. Great headliner, door panels, and carpeting as well.There is some rust just starting, mostly around the wheel openings,as shown in the pictures. The underside of the car (Subframe,floors,etc.) and all suspension mounting points are very solid. Now would be a good time to take care of it, to preserve this car. The value on the RWD Celicas keeps going up and up, making this low mile car a great candidate for a restoration project.Overall this 31 year old sportscar is in very good condition, in my opinion. The 22RE engine typically goes 100s of thousands of miles, trouble free. Iwelcome you to see it in person prior to bidding. This is a no reserve auction. High bidder get it.
