Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1985
1985 TOYOTA FJ60 LAND CRUISER, H55F 5 SPEED, FULLY REBUILT 2F ENGINE
Well maintained expedition style 1985 FJ60 Land Cruiser w/ recent low mile professionally installed H55F 5 speed transmission and fully rebuilt engine. This rig has spent its life in the Southwest (purchased in CA and moved to AZ in 2004) and is absolutely rust free and in excellent condition. Everything resealed: No leaks & dry underneath (see pictures). Always garaged and in excellent condition inside and out. The 5 speed really makes the FJ60 a comfortable and very drivable rig with a lower 1st gear than the original 4 speed and with the bonus of the extra 5th gear for the highway.
Outfitted with 4 Brand new 2016 BF Goodrich KO2 All Terrains, this rig also is equipped with a ARB front bumper with Hella lights, custom roof rack, new full carpet, upgraded sound system, Halogen headlights, and a full repaint in the factory gun metal grey. The interior is in excellent condition as can be seen in the photos. A new windshield has also just been installed.
Clean title, no accidents, clean Carfax and Autocheck. Frame on restoration presents this truck mechanically and aesthetically as one of the nicest FJ60’s around with arguably the lowest mile full drivetrain (engine/trans/clutch) of any 60 series on the market today. Body has 225K well maintained, easy miles. The only off road miles are the occasional forest road camping 2-3 times a year. See the following list for the breakdown of mechanical upgrades below.
The work immediately below was recently performed (2016) at a Toyota dealership specializing in older Land cruisers:
VALVE JOB, HEAD GASKET; OIL PAN RESEAL; FRONT TIMING COVER RESEAL; NEW STARTER; NEW BATTERY; NEW AIR PUMP; ROD AND REPAIR RADIATOR; NEW WINDSHIELD, COOLANT FLUSH; INSTALL VISCOUS COUPLER FLUID IN FAN CLUTCH; SERVICE AIR CONDITIONING; REBUILT STEERING RELAY ROD & ALIGNMENT; NEW HORN CONTACT; AND 4 NEW 33-1050R15 BFG K02 TIRES.
25k AGO: H55F TRANSMISSION INSTALLED, NEW CLUTCH, FULL OLD MAN EMU SUSPENSION, NEW SWAY BAR LINKS AND BUSHINGS, REAR MAIN SEAL, FRONT BRAKE HOSES, COMPLETE FRONT AXLE RESEAL, REPAINTED IN THE FACTORY GUNMETAL GREY.
21k AGO: NEW TOYOTA CARB INSTALLED, REPLACED ALL RADIATOR/COOLANT HOSES, NEW VACUUM HOSES, NEW RADIO DECK/ SPEAKERS/ USB AUXILLARY PORT.
15k AGO: COMPLETE ENGINE REBUILD, INSTALL NEW POWER STEERING GEAR BOX ; NEW FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS, ROTORS, PAD, REAR BRAKE JOB WITH NEW REAR WHEEL CYLINDERS; REPACK WHEEL BEARINGS & SEALS ; FUEL PUMP, THERMOSTAT, COOLANT TEMP SENSO, HEATER HOSES, PLUGS, CAP, ROTOR, IGNITION WIRES, DRIVE BELTS, FRONT CRANK SEAL, CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER.
Note: RR wheel arch has a 2 small finger-sized shallow dents, tint has some scratches in it that can only be seen from the inside. There is a single crack on the left side of the dash cover.
The engine was completely rebuilt 25K ago but recently one of the valves in the head had sunk that made the engine idle a little rough. The head was completely gone through and reinstalled with new Toyota gaskets. See repair bill from dealer.
