Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1985
So I bought this Land Cruiser to have as a fun beach truck. After i bought it (in Davis, CA) I had it towed to Mudrak's Land Cruiser shop to get the carb rebuilt and get her running great. While it was there, I came across a fun 75 FJ40 that I had to have. Can't keep them both.I just got this truck smogged Oct 14, and it passed with flying colors. The smog is good until Jan 14th for transfer to the new owner.
I have a clean title in hand, in my name. The truck has two places where the body is damaged, the passenger front fender and the passenger rocker is bent a bit. Both areas of damage can be seen below in the pictures.
Truck has new tires as well.
Inside of the car is pretty dirty and beat up, as it was used on an Orchard for most of its life. Apparently they used to stack logs on top of it, which is why the roof is wavy! (See photos)
Truck has A/C, but I haven't bothered to try to fix it. I'm sure it can be done relatively easily.
Not a perfect truck by any means, but will run forever.
There are no spots on the body where rust has broken through. A few small spots of surface rust as seen in pics! The rust is really only concentrated to the rear back tailgate area. NO CHASSSIS RUST!
The driver's seat is pretty shot and can use attention.
The carpet in the truck needs either a good cleaning or to be replaced. It depends on what you want the truck for. This is an excellent truck to USE and enjoy. It's not a show truck, or a FJ60 worth $25k.
The truck has been sitting for a month or so. I just took it to pick up a christmas treee last week and it sputtered a bit on the freeway like it wasn't getting gas. It was only briefly, but I want to thorough. This was likely either due to a dirty fuel filter and/or a dirty gas tank. Either way, its a pretty easy fix. (The gas tank has an access panel inside the car.)
You're welcome to come look at it in person if you're in the San Diego area. It will start, run and drive no problem. (Though the sputter may come and go) It didn't do it at all on the way home from picking up the tree.
I'm happy to have the truck taken to a PPI at the buyer's cost if the buyer is not local and wants the vehicle shipped. (Though this may be difficult with Xmas!) I have no problems working with a transport company if the buyer is not local.
Please ask for specific photographs. I"ll happily provide them if I'm able to!
Also... I do have the carpeting for the back hatch!
