Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1994
I purchased this truck from my father in aug. 2014. At the time it was 100% factory stock and had 299,000 miles. I didn't like the way it looked so I started working on it. I tried to find a 2" body lift butfound that one is no longer available so me being a machinist for 30 years decided to make one. Forthe lift pucks I made them from solid alum. and drilled them with 1/2" thru center. I also made a male/female shifter ext. for the transfer case shifter. No welded extensions to break. For the steering shaft extension I made a super duty ext. that bolts on the inside of the truck. I made the body lift bigger and stronger than any kit out there because my kids ride in this truck with me. I then ordered a old man emu 3" suspension lift ( new shocks,springs,c-bushings,stabilizer, hardware) straight from the factory in Australia and it took 2 months to come in. I wanted the ome kit because I have used them in the past and their quality is second to none. I took both axle housings completely out from under the truck and replaced all tie rod ends, bearings, seals, felts in both front and rear. I also machined and welded in gussets on the front axle, rear control arms, and rear pan hard bar for extra strength even tho I don't off road. I also made custom alum. sway bar drops for the rear bar( 2.75 lower ). I made spacers for the front bar but they could use thicker ones( only 1/2 thick I think ). When it came time to put it together I pressed the old bushings out of the front control links and pressed in the new caster bushings that ome sent w/ the kit. Before I assembled it all back together I painted control arms, axles, panhard bars with base clear. The interior of the truck is almost perfect. The cleanest one I have seen in last 10 years or so.Iinstalled all 7 new speakers, new window motors, power out side mirrors, and omitted wood trim and covered with carbon fiber kit. All seats like brand new including 3rd row seats. Power moon roof works perfect and does not leak. Engine and transmission are stock and work perfect. Engine does leak about 3 drops of oil overnight, trans has no leaks at all. Truck does have check engine light on due to ex. leak and antilock brake light on because i omitted the harness because i don't like antilock brakes. I did keep the antilock harness that will be included with truck so you can make antilock work if you like. I would not be afraid to jump in this truck and drive it coast to coast. It runs great but is a little loud due to exh. leak. Its not terrible loud but a little annoying.Wheels and Tires are brand new as well w/ less than 1k miles on them. Almost $4000 in susp. and wheels and tires. Wheels are 17x9 Gear manifold and tires are 35x12.50/17 bfg at k02s. This is a super nice truck that I started with and made it better. The only reason for selling is because I have too many Toyota trucks. If this doesnt sell I will list one of my other Toyotas. The winning bidder is one lucky man{ or woman }. Reserve is starting price. I'm running out of room on listing so feel free to email me and I can email more pics and answer any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
