Description for Toyota Supra 1980
CLARIFICATION IN TITLE: 1991 TOYOTA SUPRA, not 1980. Ebay will not let me put in the Japanese VIN # (doesn't match US VIN number format). Clear titleYes, it is right-hand drive. I purchased this last year from Virginia when it had a few light modifications. All import and legal documents will be provided. The exterior remains OEM in appearance with the exception of the 17" Advan SA3R two piece wheels. The paint shines nicely with only light blemishes that you would expect with a vehicle of this age. The body in good shape and has no major dents or dings. The power folding mirror housings are cracked which is extremely common among JZA70s with this option, however, mirrors from a USDM Supra are a direct swap. The targa top is easily removed and the seals are in great condition (no leaks).
Like the exterior, the interior remains mostly stock. The previous owner has replaced the stock steering wheel with a Momo "Sport" steering wheel, which can be reinstalled. The current steering wheel is an authentic TOMS steering wheel from Japan. The OEM seats are in good shape with minor fading and some light bolster wear on the driver seat. The door panels are clean and have no rips or tears aside from the passenger window switch housing, which has fallen off but still in the car. The dash does suffer from the typical cracking which is common with the MK3 Supra. I have purchased a dash cover but have not gotten to install it. The indicator stalk is damaged but works, it just has to be moved manually into positions, the locking mechanism does not work.
This is not a USDM supra. It came with a twin turbo 1JZGTE, which I have converted to a single turbo setup.
Shifts through the R154 5 speed manual transmission are smooth and the clutch does not slip. Currently, this Supra has about 120k miles. I have done several road trips, including down for Import Alliance. All tires are in great shape and the rears are extra grippy.
I do not have a dyno sheet, but I do plan on getting one just because of the market of this car is directed towards. Estimating about 400whp at 20psi according to similar setups, the car is no slouch! Car starts right away on cold starts every time, however, after being at operating temperature, it sometimes takes 2 or 3 attempts to turn back on. Will demonstrate during a showing. During the year of ownership, I have changed the oil 3 times using Redline 5w-30 only. The heat works great. The undercarriage is perfect, there is no surface anywhere.

The bad
Hood cable needs to be replaced, currently causing an issue with opening the hood. I can show you what I do to get it open.
Already stated above, but the mirrors and dash are cracked. I have brand new mirror housings from Japan specifically for the JZA70, and I have a dash cover that has to be installed.
Power steering will need to be addressed at some point. Makes whining noise only while cold, once warm noise goes away.
AC doesn't blow "cold"
