88 toyota 4runner Rust Free 4x4

Description for Toyota 4Runner 1988

This is a rare rust free first gen that has had tons of work done by the previous owner. My son bought this from a moderator of a well known 4runner forum as a project after he left the military but he now wants something that is factory original to restore. The engine was replaced with what we think is an 86R with 50K miles and has a Webber carb. Like new Goodyear tires, new clutch, Master & slave, fuel pump, battery, exhaust, oil sending unit, oil pressure guage, 4x4 has been through as well as the transmission, differential and rear end.When the motor was replaced the EFI was removed along with all the computer and sensors. The interior is in ok condition but better than most he looked at. Exterior is in good condition. The bad is the previous owner brought this back to life to be just a driver and trail rig so the work that was done was not at the level I would have done. He had lots of experience but it's shadetree quality of work. He did document everything on yotatech.com/forums and I can send you the link so you will know as much as we do. Has A/C that works but is a little redneck engineered.I will on sell to someone who physically comes and sees or at least communicates with me via email prior to sale. It does run and drive fine, carb could use some fine tuning but overall it's very nice for the price. I am overly honest and want to make sure you are not disappointed.
