Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1984

First build started in 2014 at Torfab in Washington. The build was finished in 2016 and spent about $50,000. After that I put 15k of bumpers, armor, winch with upgraded motor, roof rack, lights, rear storage and all the other accessories you see. After that I spent about 20K putting a brand new motor in. I have put about 45,000km on it since the original build. There is a lot of money into this truck, and it is built to look modest. My wife and I drove it 35,000km around the USA, mexico, belieze, guatemala and back through the east of Canada. Very reliable rig and will go anywhere. 35" BFG ko2 Tires have about 2,000km on them (got new ones when we returned from the trip) haven't driven it much since then which is why I'm selling it. odo reads in the 350k range but is irrelevant at this point

If you call Torfab to get this truck built now would start at 80k US. plus plus plus for everything else that was added.

1984 Fj60 body on an a 1993 FZJ80 frame with factory lockers, disk brakes all around, coil springs etc. It is on OME springs and shocks with a manafree long range fuel tank (holds 138 liters if I recall correct meaning you can go around 1,000km on a tank of fuel with this beast.
Engine is a 4bg1t from Isuzu, out of a hitachi EX130 excavator. The original motor that was built had a faulty injector which melted a piston. While on a road trip to Mexico... In California I purchased a brand new 4bg1t from Isuzu complete long block for $10,000 and paid a shop another 10,000 to re-install it. The injection pump comes from a 4bd1t isuzu from an NPR truck and was built by North west fuel injection for $2,500. The new motor from isuzu has about 15,000km on it. It takes about 13 liters of oil in the pan and I use only synthetic. I have followed the Isuzu break in period and instructions and oil changes and change the oil every 5,000km. First oil change was in the first 500km as per the Izusu instructions. I have always run a pre filter with a water separator as well as the factory isuzu fuel filter. The oil filter is the latest Isuzu high flow fine filter, as you can see the filter is HUGE.

advanced adapters kit from NV4500 to the late model manual linkage FJ60 transfer case with all new bearings and seals. Custom drive shafts.
All of the oil/power steering lines are made from 10,000psi hydraulic lines and high quality fittings.
Uses a Isuzu manual bellhousing cover and flywheel to a dodge nv4500 clutch and NV4500 transmission. Berts automotive built the transmission, it has 45,000km on it since then.
Front bumper is a 4+4 is tweaked slightly on the passenger "wing". Rest of Armor is in excellent condition and was built by jason at Cruisin offroad. The roof rack was built by them as well and is made out of aluminum. Everything except the front bumper was powder coated and it shows. The front bumper should come off and get the wing fixed and stripped and powdercoated.
Mechanically the truck is in excellent condition, it has about 45,000km on it since it was originally built by torfab, which included all new parts except a power steering box, which I ended up replacing about 15,000km ago at iron pig offroad on the east coast of the USA.
has lots of lights and switches, is equipped with 2 spare "house batteries" with a blue sea automatic relay + combination switch for self jumping and winching. There is a MPT solar charging system wired with a quick connection for solar panels in series (faster charging) and a blue sea fuse panel in the back. ARB twin screw air compressor installed into the rear fender with switch on dash, in cab winch control, There are lots of led lights under and around the truck on separate switches.
I have a set of torfab bmw seat brackets that I just ordered and a pair of nice heated bmw leather seats that will bolt right into the truck.
There is 1 issue, the window needs to be replaced and the seal is leaking. Quote is $1,000 to fix with new glass.
all the tie rod ends were done about 5,000km ago
