1988 Toyota FJ62 Land Cruiser Project
This 1988 FJ62 Land Cruiser will make a great trail vehicle or a great parts vehicle for your custom build. This Cruiser is loaded with 4WD, Power Steering, Brakes, Windows, Mirrors, Factory Air Conditioning, Front Manual Lock Hubs, Nice Aluminum Wheels with BFG Trail Tires, Tilt Steering, Bucket Seats, Tach & Gauges and more. Mileage shows 230,000 miles.
Mechanically this Cruiser is Not Running or Driving. The fuel tank is removed for fuel pump replacement. A new fuel pump is included. The engine will crank and fire with gas through the throttle body. Per the previous owner this Cruiser was running and driving when parked several years ago. This Cruiser is sold as a None Runner. Most everything under the hood is complete with the exception of the air cleaner. The exhaust is complete with both catalytic converters. Automatic transmission, transfer case, front and rear differential are all complete. Good BFG trail tires mounted on aluminum wheels. The brakes are weak however they do function. The suspension sits level and has nice aftermarket shackles in the front. The frame is in nice condition with no rust or scale on the frame or suspension components other than surface rust.
The exterior body of this Cruiser is rough and rusty as seen in the pictures. Both front fenders have dents and rust down low, The left side rocker panel is bad with rust. The right side rocker panel is not much better. Both rear quarter panels have rust at the bottom and around the wheel wells. There is some rust on the inner wheel wells on both sides. The rear tailgate has rust by the latch. Amazingly the floors in this Cruiser are in good condition without rust. The roof is in nice condition with no rust and nice rain gutters or roof section. All the glass including the windshield is in good condition none broken condition. The front and rear bumpers are missing. The front grill and headlight bezels are missing. The hood opens and closes properly. The firewall, inner fender and radiator support are in good condition with no rust. The side market lights are missing and the taillight lenses are broken. If you DO NOT see an exterior piece of trim in the pictures mounted on the exterior of this Cruiser I do not have that part and it is not included with this Cruiser.
The interior is mostly complete however rough and dirty. The driver's seat cover is bad. The passenger seat is decent. The rear seat is good but dirty. The carpet is complete and very dirty. The headliner is in good condition. All four door panels are complete and in decent condition. The dash pad is cracked. The gauges are in good condition. The climate controls are complete. The previous owner lost the key to this Cruiser and removed the ignition lock cylinder and installed a new electric ignition switch. The tilt steering column works properly and there is no steering column damage just no ignition key cylinder, no ignition or door keys and the plastic steering column plastic trim is missing. There is a spare tire in the rear cargo area of the Cruiser.
