Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1992

1992 Toyota DIESEL HDJ81 Land Cruiser RARE JDM RHD Front & Rear Lockers - CLEAN!
Description: Very nice JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) diesel 80 series Land Cruiser. Locking
front and rear differentials. 4.2 litre Turbo-Diesel 6 cylinder engine. Automatic transmission.
Locking front and rear differentials, Power steering, windows, door locks. Cloth interior.

VIN is: HDJ810018229

Condition: Very good overall condition. Inside and out.
Engine & Drivetrain: Strong running engine and transmission. Engine makes a puff of
smoke on start up, which is totally normal for these engines. Burns clean and smooth afterwards.
Makes great power. Transmission works and shifts correctly, transfer case correctly engages in lowrange. Front and rear axle lockers engage correctly. The odometer is 330,000 Kilometers/205,000miles. These trucks are commonly known to go 500,00 to 700,000 Km on the original drivetrains, and over 1 Million kilometers, is not impossible. This drivetrain has lots of life left in it.

Body & Frame: No serious rust on the frame or body. Very solid. Factory black paint on frame. No noticeable dents on the truck. Paint has some chips, and touch ups. The truck has a 2" aftermarketlift, and 33" tires.

Interior: Seats and carpets are in great original shape with no noticeable rips, tears, or burns.
Defects: This truck is in great shape, and probably has much less in the way of issues, or defects
than a typical 1992 vehicle, but in the interest of clarity, I will list the known defects as I know them, all are quite easy to fix. Almost all parts are the same as regular North American 80 series trucks
so available at wrecking yards, or a Toyota dealer:
- small ding in lower windshield (fixable without windshield replacement)- door limiter arm on drivers door missing - easily fixed- rear wiper works sporadically - easily fixed- all 4 power windows work, but are slow and sometimes need some assistance - easily fixed- window tint is getting old and has some wear showing and damage in a few places,
so could be removed, and replaced, if wanted.- light driveline slop. Front drive flanges were just replaced, which is usually the cause of this and removed most of it, but not entirely, so u-joints could be replaced.- easily fixed- dash has some cracking in the top/middle. This dash is not sun-baked, and actually in good shape but the truck was broken into, and a GPS that was mounted to the dash was torn away, damaging
the top of the dash. A vinyl repair guy fixed it and it looked great, but after a few years the repaired
part cracked - a new vinyl repair could be done to renew this. Area affected is about 6x4" roughly.
The rest is in very good shape with no cracks or damage.

Location: This truck is located and registered in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and is eligible for legalimport into the USA, as it is over 25 years old now. It is very road worthy, and capable of a long, or
short drive, to your home. I can help somewhat with paperwork for the border if you want. Youdon't need a customs broker, just the correct forms filed out in advance, to import it. Vehicles25 years and older are exempt from DOT regulations so can be legally imported. This truck is a
1992 so that makes it 27 years old now.
Story: I am an importer in Vancouver BC, Canada, and have imported and owned over 30 diesel
Land Cruisers, but mostly 40, and 70 series trucks. I have only owned one other 80 series, so am
not an expert on them, but am fairly knowledgeable on diesel land Cruisers. I did not import this
truck, but a friend bought it from another importer, and drove it briefly before selling it to another
friend, who has used it as a daily driver for a few years, hauling his family around the city. So between
its use in Japan, and here in Vancouver, this truck has been a pavement princess! Very little to no
off-road use at all. This truck was offered back to us in need of a little attention. The fuel pump wasjust rebuilt, water pump replaced, and the front drive flanges replaced. Over $3,000.00 has just beenspent servicing this truck, and the work was done by John Voo (ATEB), the top Toyota Diesel
mechanic in Canada.

Cost of these trucks new in Japan was over $50,000, and were never available in North America at any
price. Here is a opportunity to get a very decent one, at a very reasonable price!

RESONABLE RESERVE (under $10,000) - so High Bidder will get it!
Payment: A non-refundable $500.00 deposit must be made immediately at the end of the auction.balance must be paid within 7 days. I can store the truck for up to 2 weeks before pick-up, and after thatcharge would be $25.00/week, but the truck must be paid for in full in 7 days.

More to come: I will add more pictures, and VIDEO of the engine running, and the truck driving, over
the next few days as the auction runs, so be sure to check back for more, and be sure to scroll down to
see all that!
