Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1972
This is a gorgeous 1972 Toyota FJ-40. This is truly a totally unique and outstanding example of Toyotas iconic 4 x 4 This FJ spent most of its life in the aired south west by previous owners who used it around a small farm and for occasional fishing trips. Amazingly It came with most of its original documentation including very rare items such as factory Jack original PTO winch period correct roof rack, some tools and more! The mechanical condition is bumper to bumper outstanding and represents an all OEM frame off two year total restoration. The engine was found to have exceptional compression so there was no need to rebuild. The three speed on the floor( as opposed to the more common three on the tree ) is a welcome addition. I did rebuild the carburetor intake and exhaust manifold radiator and literally any hose wire or accessory that needed R and R with OEM Toyota parts . This is a matching numbers engine and drive train! The engine runs like a top and everything works as it should. The interior is impeccable! All body parts including tub we're media blasted primed and painted through a friend who subcontracts for an aerospace company. We used one stage industrial paint on all parts to replicate the original manufacture. The result is stunning! Tires are new. Rims and hub caps are new and oem. All spot welds and common factory imperfections were retained as original. The theme of this restoration was to keep everything as was in 1972 as it rolled off the assembly line! I have spared no expense and detail to make this one of the finest restored FJ you will find on the market today! Please ask any questions you may have. Disclosure: I have had this FJ in storage for the last year. will need a few things done 45K OBO..
