Description for Toyota Land Cruiser 1977

The time has come for me to let my 40 move on to a new home and a chance for you to pick up a great 40! I bought her in 2007 in Georgia from the original owner's son. She spent her time with me as a semi daily driver. I've always had other vehicles but if it was nice out I'd take the cruiser. I've taken her up into the mountains on camping trips a ton of times and she has seen some light off roading in the process. She is a very capable off road vehicle I just never had the need to. She's drivable as is or a perfect candidate for a restoration.
Everything is original including the engine and transmission except for a Weber carb and her rims. The interior has also been Rhino Lined so no rust in there.
The unmatching in the pictures is where I saw rust starting. As soon as I saw it starting I would treat and repaint so there is no major rust spots on her. The bottom of the ambulance doors are the worst spots but even that isn't bad at all as you can see in the pictures. My plan was to one day do a frame off restoration so I wasn't concerned about paint matching.
The only thing that doesn't work on her is the radio. I removed it about 10 years ago for some reason and I can't remember what that reason is. It was working then. She comes with a dealer installed air conditioning unit. I don't know the condition of the unit or the compressor. The compressor is still installed but I removed the unit. I'd take her top off every summer and there isn't much use having an air conditioner on a vehicle with no roof or doors. She also likes to mark her spot with oil. No major leaks but you will have some drips under where you park her.
What I've done since owning her:
2009 - New Water pump2015 - New Brakes - All four calipers and master cylinder ('77 was the first year with front disk brakes for those of you unfamiliar with 40s)2017 - New Radiator2018 - New Starter
That's all I've had to do aside from oil changes. I gave her a fresh one this week so she is ready for the lucky winner of this auction to drive her home. She's been extremely reliable to me and she will continue cruising along for her next owner. I'd feel comfortable driving her across the country right now without doing a thing to her. She's out front right now so people can look at her but she normally lives under the porch in the photos. If you need time to pick her up I have no problem letting you store her under there again until you have the time.
Send me a message if you have any questions or if you want to come by to take a look.
I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
