Description for Triumph Other 1958
Classic English roadster having the same owner for over 40 years. Well maintained, araged, nd driven sparingly.
Rebuilt car mechanics in 1997 with performance engine (87mm pistons), erformance cylinder head and clutch, econditioned
SU carburetors, obalt high performance plug wire and distributor set connected to a Lucas Sport high voltage ignition coil.
Rebuilt chasis with heavy duty front shocks, ront-end/suspension & steering rebuild kits, ew front and rear brakes, and a Monza chrome-tipped sport muffler. New Michelin XZX 165 SR 15 radialtires complement the racing feel and handling. New gas tank, ed cut pile carpeting, nd a reconditioned trunk in excellent condition. Front and rear bumper overriders, ear brake light assemblies, ront fender chrome trim, nd sport passing mirror will be provided for body restoration with car purchase. Rear leaf springs and lever shocks replaced, enerator rebuilt, nd radiator core replaced as well when I first purchased the car. Comes with new soft top and fiberglass hardtop along with side curtains. Mechanically sound and ready for the road. Mechanical work restoration backed up with shop order receipts. Considerations: The brake master cylinder needs to be replaced ($40 from Moss Motors), long with labor to bleed the system, and the car is ready to be put back on the road. The seats are from a TR4A (present when I purchased the car), nd are in good shape but need new leather reupholstering. A purist might consider replacement with authentic TR3A seats but the TR4 seats are actually better built and more comfortable. This TR3A has much potential for the right buyer. There is minimal rust and minor body work needed. It is a good car for easy restoration and an incredible race feel.
