Up for auction is a running 1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500. I've owned the car for several years now; since 2009. I purchased the car in the Pittsburgh area and drove it consistently for the next several years in good weather. The car has sat the past two years basically not driven but started and 'driveway' driven. This year, y intentions were to have my mechanic inspect the car and make it roadworthy. I purchased most of the necessary parts this spring from The Roadster Factory, ut never had a chance to have the car looked at because of my work schedule. The new parts are included in the sale of the car*. Will make someone a nice winter project and be able to drive in the spring. Last fall, replaced the (new) slave cylinder for the transmission. At the same time, installed a used radiator to replace the leaking one; and also installed all new hoses, ew overflow bottleand coolant. Car runs well and starts easily, an be driven onto transport. PA title is clear, ileage exempt (odometer may not be accurate).

New parts include:

You will need new tires and a battery to make it roadworthy. All lights and gauges work (except for the cd/radio - I forgot to hook it back up when I replaced the slave cylinder). Interior is worn but useable, eats have covers on them. Paint is in poor condition, ut can wait. The red was put on top of BRG, op coat has worn off, ot holding a shine. Surface rust, ut holes or putty that I am aware of. P/O had stickers of the door panels (not appropriate - #53 Herbie) when removed it took some paint on the drivers side. The convertible top will need replaced, unctional but not good. Has a hole in the top and a couple of holes at the plastic windows. Like I said, was planning on driving it this summer with more restorations in the future, ut now I need to sell the car. I am selling off all of my Triumphs here in the next few weeks - if this is not the one you want, tay tuned for my 66 Spit, 8 Spit or the 69 Spit. All coming out of the barn in the coming weeks - My loss, our project.

Before you try to give me a low offer, lease understand the new parts are valued alone at about $400.00. *If you don't want the parts, am acceptable to a lower price. Make your offer, ust be reasonable, aybe we can work something out.

I would like the car picked up as soon as possible - My barn is coming down and no longer will have dry storage. Car will have to be paid in full at that time. I am asking for a deposit only to keep people honest.
