Description for Triumph TR-6 1976
This is an unrestored last year of the model original like it was off the showroom floor with only 4500 original miles on the odometer. I purchased it in 2014 and the car had 879 miles! Since this was the last model year for the TR6 a dealer turned collector bought this one and had it in his showroom until I purchased it. It has been unmolested all original including paint, interior, convertible top, tonneau cover, and engine bay. Some parts have been replaced while keeping the originality of the car like, new alternator, new sealed battery in vintage Lucas case, sport coil, electronic ignition, wiper motor, brake vacuum, clutch slave cylinder, washer motor, new front and rear shocks, new Michelin replica tires from Diamond Black Tire Co, switches, front control arms and whatever rubber parts that may have dried out after 40 years. I installed a new Stainless steel exhaust that sounds dreamy, Still has the original Michelin spare tire. No rust anywhere. All chrome is original and pristine. A few minor imperfections and nicks in the paint but it is supreme.
It won Best in Class Post War Import at the 2015 Ponte Vedra Auto Show hosted by Brumos and Amelia Island Concours. It has a brand new sound system by RetrosSound, complete with Bluetooth and MP3 capability, with four new speakers, and two sub woofers. New seat belts and other switches have also been replaced for safety as have the four brake pistons. The top is perfect and original, and will come with stainless steel luggage rack and vintage American Tourister suitcase.
It's time to move on and this beauty needs another loving home. Yours!
