Description for Triumph TR-6 1976

For auction is my '76 Triumph TR6. This is a very original 'Survivor' type TR6 with mostly original Mimosa yellow paint and options of Overdrive, Hardtop and Tonneau cover. The car was originally purchased new from Hawkins Pontiac in Tacoma, WA in April '76. It had two owners since then until I purchased it 12 years ago. I have many receipts and original paperwork including the originalwindow sticker. This car has always been garaged and not driven in harsh winter weather. It has been well cared for andmaintained through the years and has survived the 'tin worm' and has not been 'bad-wrenched' as so often happened with these cars. There is no rust/rot anywhere on this TR6! It had an Amco plasticbattery box installed from day one. The battery shelf on these cars is notorious for having rust or corrosion but is not on this car probably mostly due to having the battery liner. The paint under the battery box has worn off but the bare metal is clean! The original Mimosa yellow paint is excellent with a few chips, dings but very good appearance. The driver door looks to have been touched-up or possibly spotted in but I have no history on that. The hardtop appears to have been re-painted but is the original one to the car and matches perfectly. In my years of ownership I have installed new carpeting, new door panels, new dash top, petronix electronic ignition, new green hoses and correct clamps, new water pump and lots, and lotsof general maintenanceand replacement ofanything that needed replacing. The seats are original and have no rips, tears or scuffs and have not lost their paddingThis car still has it's original soft topand is in excellent condition withperfectly clear windows! It has the original correct soft topboot (for hardtop cars only) and it's original tonneau cover (not shown) in perfect condition. The Michelin redline tires we're replaced in 2002 and have less than 10,000 miles on them!A carin this very original conditionwill only go up in value! It starts, runs, drives and stops very well and needs nothing but a new owner at this point in time. The only reason I am selling it is to make room and have extra cash for a new project.
