With some design help from the legends at Karmann and a reliable and strong inline 6-cylinder engine the TR6 is one of the most popular British roadsters to every make the trip across the pond. These appealing sports cars came well equipped from the factory with a spirited 2.5 liter inline 6 cylinder engine 4-speed synchromesh transmission 4-wheel independent suspension front disc b...rakes radial ply tires wheel trim rims reclining bucket seats walnut fascia speedometer with trip odometer tachometer lockable glove box pile carpet interior courtesy and trunk lights zip down rear window front air spoiler and luggage rack. These cars offer a pure open air sports car motoring experience that is unique to the marquee. The sound the feel and the handling is something that any auto enthusiast should experience. Their traditional design mechanical reliability and parts availability make them easy to own and enjoy. For this reason these cars have become proven investments. The 1973 Triumph TR6 offered here was the recipient of a no expense spared complete frame off nut and bolt restoration. It is finished in its original and desirable code 106 Mallard Blue over New Tan interior with beige carpeting. Huge attention to detail was executed during the restoration process using the finest available materials and all factory correct parts. The car was restored to stock spec and is powered by its inline 6 cylinder engine that is fed by its dual Stromberg carburetors powered its transferred through its 4 speed manual transmission and applied by the rear wheels. The interior features all new correct and stock materials including seat upholstery interior panels carpet etc. it retains is original style steering wheel original gauges that have been restored and is complete. The Mallard Blue exterior paint was used only for 2 years for the tr6 and is excellent. Under the hood reveals a highly restored and detailed engine and engine bay with all correct components hoses clamps hardware radiator shroud; an electric fan was added for optimal cooling. The trunk houses its full size spare tire and has also been restored in the fashion as the rest of the car featuring all new trunk lining kit the underside is outstanding featuring excellent restored frame and floors all new and or refurbished suspension steering and brake components all new correct exhaust and all new bushing grommets and rubber pieces. All of this riding on factory 15 inch wheels with trim rings and new Red Stripe radial tires. Mechanically a just over 3300 miles since the restoration this TR6 is fully sorted and runs and drives excellent in all areas. The car starts up with ease pulls strong in every gear it clutches and shifts smoothly brakes straight and the suspension with steering is tight. All this works together to deliver a British open-air sports driving experience that only the TR6 can deliver. This car is documented with its British Heritage Trust certificate.
