Description for Triumph TR-6 1975
1975 Triumph TR6 - British Roadster 27 Years owned - Recent Maintenance - Twin Stromberg Carbs - Inline6 w/4Speed Manual - (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) This British Sports Car has so... much to offer: mechanically sound, original engine, and all original body with a good history of maintenance in between periods that the car sat in storage.  It was never fully restored, just maintained, with parts gradually being replaced as needed over the duration of our client's ownership. During his 27 years of ownership the car was only driven 3,107 miles - being Garage Kept in between the miles driven.  This car was purchased from a US Customs Inspector in New Orleans, and the current owner has provided us a log of service history that documents much of what has been done to rejuvenate and maintain the car.  The most recent service entries were; carburetors rebuilt, fuel filter was replaced, and fuel tank was cleaned and coated in late 2017. In late 2018 a number of parts were replaced or adjusted: the carbs, timing, and valves were adjusted, new top and tires were added, new trunk kit and gasket, new rear shocks, electronic ignition, plugs and wires, and a new gas tank and fuel pump were installed.  Once the hood is open, our eyes are immediately drawn to the twin Stromberg carbs mounted to the side of the Inline-6 engine.  A 4 speed manual transmission handles gear selection. The car fires on command, runs smooth, and is a pleasure to drive. What better color for a mid-70's British car than "Saffron Yellow"?  This color really highlights the flared arches, and bulges at the leading edge of the hood.  According to the trim tag the car was originally Topaz, (Code 84) which was a brighter orange color than the Saffron Yellow hue that the car is currently.  A repaint must have been done quite a long time ago based on the condition of the paint. There are areas that have been "touched up" to prevent any rust from taking hold and corroding the body. Hop in the driver's seat, and it's immediately evident that the interior has been very well cared for.  Clear gauges, clearly labeled switches and knobs, and a vintage radio are highlights in the interior. Interior upholstery and trimmed surfaces show very well, which makes this British Sports Car a perfect place to be for top down motoring!   Whether driving an English countryside two lane, or cruising to cars and coffee this is an awesome driver's car!  Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors.
