Description for Triumph TR3 1958

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this attractive TR3A in a crisp color scheme. This car was just purchased on the East coast from it's older owner who spent the last few years having the car restored. It runs and drives very well and is plenty of fun out on the road.Details of the restoration work included completing minor sheetmetal repairs to the car's body/tub, new bodywork and paint, renewed interior including reupholstered seats, carpet kit, black quality softtop (needs final install) with matching tonneau cover.A new windshield has also been fitted along with some nice chrome items. The tires are new. This car feels very sorted out on the road and runs and drives extremely well with lots of power from a very healthy engine. The car is fitted with an upgraded full syncromesh gearbox, a great bonus for driving. The steering gearbox is delightful to operate, and feels very smooth from lock to lock, a rarity on one of these older TR3A's.Underneath, the car looks pretty solid overall, with evidence of a newer braking system rebuilt throughout. The engine compartment is clean with the bonus of a desirable, period finned aluminum valve cover. The car's engine starts easily on the key with great oil pressure, no smoke or noises, idles very well, and shows plenty of grunt out on the road. It's possible it could have the 2.2 liter upgrade...Overall, a crisp and pretty TR3A in pleasing and sporty colors, that has been nicely restored to a good level, with excellent mechanicals. This car is ready to be enjoyed for summer and is sensible value for lots of fun.
