Description for Triumph TR-6 1972
This is a 1972 Triumph TR6.As you can see, it is not stock. It has a Chevy small block 283 V8 with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. It is a project. It does not run or drive. It has been a ongoing project by the previous owner for many many years. What has been done has mostly been done very nicely. The suspension, driveline, brakework has been done very cleanly. The front suspension work is a beauty. New everything on either corner. Slotted disc rotors, new bushings, hardware, etc. The rear diff is another beauty. New U joints, axles, boots, hoses, new driveshaft, fittings, redone this, redone that.Someone spent a lot of time and money doing all this stuff that does not really show. Some work is so so. Cut the frame on the sides to mount the rear tranny mount,Cut out the web below the rear driveshaft. Steering column needs more, and better work to deal with the steering column thru the engine bay. Some cuts to the firewall and other places to get the 283 in.He claimed the engine was rebuilt but I doubt it. Older pan gasket, etc. Though the top end might of been. The Edelbrock manifold is brand new. The engine is a 64-68 . 2 main. 195-220 hp. Engine stamp GM 3849852 with FO216GF on the front right stamp. The car is pretty solid and rustfre, but it was painted and may be hiding something or other underneath. The hood has a custom scoop with a electric cowl induction setup. No radiator and I imagine other parts. But most everything is here. Soft top convertible frame .Trunk has some extra parts in it. 2 sets of foot pedal assemblies, some chrome handles, brake lines, alternator, some interior rear and side panels. Th seats are low back and not stock. And just sitting in there on solid floorpans. This will be a great base to build a TR6 your way. Go back to stock or finish this hotrod.up. You could not do what has been put into this car for 4 times what I am asking. Or more. The rear end diff work is beautiful.I imagine they went thru the diff itself in addition to axles, hubs, joints, bushings, fittings and such. Most of the hard work has been done. Finish it up your way and be driving by summer.Clean straight title.I travel around mostly the West Coast and might be able to get it to you or close for reasonable money. I can arrange shipping to Long Beach California shippers for export for $300 no problem. Old Triumphs are getting harder and harder to get in any shape these days. .
